I see there is a ton of information on here for converting front drum brakes to disc brakes with factory parts, but I am having trouble actually finding a source for a disc brake booster. Does anyone have a source for a disc brake booster? I currently have power drum brake booster.

They're out there... gotta keep searching.

There are a couple of vendors selling reproductions that claim their product will work on C bodies - The Ram Man (I think) and Pirate Jack are two that come to mind. Both are eBay vendors.

Best thing IMO is to find a core from a junker and have it rebuilt by Booster Dewey.

My 66 monaco had power drum brakes and I was lucky enough to find a rotted out 71 polara (think cant exactly remember) for parts. Only took upper & lower control arms, spindles rotor assembly’s, left the original drum brake booster on monaco and brakes work fine, had to install a proportioning valve and fab up some new brake lines but not too hard to do. Hope this helps

The drum booster should be changed out to a disc booster, as the drum booster is not powerful enough for discs. That's why the factory had two boosters.

That's it exactly. The drum booster will work, but not as well. It may feel great for 90% of the braking but... in a panic situation if it's the difference of 20' more better stopping power, that could be the difference between killing the kid that rode his bicycle out in front of you or stopping in time.

Unfortunately, brakes tend to let you down when you need them the most.

Dang, I was hoping to be able to use my drum master with the prop valve and be good to go. Another part to hunt for.

No no no no... unsafe, even though they bolt up and function. :)

Gotta use a DUAL RES Disc master (67 and up C body), AND the correct Bendix dual diaphragm booster (especially if you have column shift). If you have console shift you can use the bigger pancake booster from 69 and up C bodies.

Don't skimp on brakes people.

Well I can guarantee that it stops WAY better with discs than with drums.
When I bought my monaco in Carson city NV I drove this baby home thru the mountains Lassen volcanic park with the drums and man let me tell you..... the seat was sucked up so far up my crack... what a nerve wracking ride home. Made it tho! 4 hours, 3 qts oil and a half gallon coolant. Yessss
