Thanks for that, Paul. Truth be told, I'm hoping to unload about sixty or more models tomorrow to a vendor I should see at a toy show in the next town over. Still have some Mopar models left, and some Semi's, but I want the rest gone, I just don't build them any more. Now I'll have to watch that epay ad though, thanks!

Looking through some things I came across the Certicards for the car.
It had enough residue left, that I could make out what it said and who originally bought the car, a Mr. Bob Abreu of Paradise California, in Nov of 66. He made it to 102 years of age!
I know of the trail from Chico to me, and now the beginning of the cars ownership. Hope to find out if there's any missing in it's history between Paradise and Chico. Something to do while it's cold outside.

So I just got a new plate in the mail, decided to go Collector, and skip any further yearly fees. No more, unless I go back to a regular plate, but I have no reason to do so. So for a total of three years of registration, I got a personalized plate. I felt it was time to let everyone know who is the jackass behind the wheel.

They don't? That sucks. Glad we have a chance to put stupid things on the plates! I really didn't want any numbers, just not the same as when the plates were embossed, and the text looks like the older plates too.

So I got titles for all my cars, and sent off the information to Chrysler Historical. Got this a couple days later.
So now I wait a few more weeks and learn more about most of my cars. In the meantime, I'm going to get the 500 out, and start tuning and tweaking for road duty.

So I was a little bummed yesterday, I went to trade Polaras, but the 500 wouldn't start. It's given me trouble with the ignition before, so it's not a surprise, just a let down. I didn't have any tools, so I didn't mess around with it at all. I'll grab a test light and a multimeter when I get around to it. But I did get the '68 Monaco out for a spin, so that cheered me up. Not sure which one will get my attention right away, need one of them roadworthy. At least there's no water in my storage unit.

It does make it easier to focus. I'm glad I had something else to take for a spin at least. Keeps me on track to get something done. I almost put it back into storage after I pulled it out, but the person living next door drove their newish Corvette convertible, and their '57 Ford back from wherever while I was thinking it over. I wasn't going to accept defeat, and decided to brave it anyways. I have a feeling I'll be racking up miles on a Fastop pretty soon.

After owning the car for over two years, I finally went and got the console from my parts car. It was nasty, thirty years of sitting, mice, and a broken rear window, so all the elements touched this car, year after year.
I got it out without much hassle, and went home afterwards and cleaned it off a bit. I used mother nature, as it was raining. Used some old rags to wipe off the grime, and gave it a good rinsing.
Going to give it a good scrubbing and get it ready to replace the cut up one that's in the car now.

Did they glue the carpet on the side from the factory, or? I ask because Bev's is all loose and falling off the drivers side.

I'm going to reuse the carpet in the car, so long as I can get it off in one piece. I need new carpet, so I'll get the console pieces when I do that. It'll match for now.

the brackets are important , measure them up and tear the floor taking them . there more important then the floor . nice parts !

I will when I get the car to my house, no power outlets in any of the trees nearby! I have a transmission tunnel section cut with the brackets on it if I ever want to install a console on my gray car, but I don't think I'll ever take the bench out.
