I had the opportunity to speak with everyone in the group photo, and others that weren't. I don't think there's a shy person in the whole bunch. But if they're not retired, they're probably working, so that they can continue to support their C Body hobby.

Steve, not to worry. The 71 is in good hands. The resto I plan for this car will hopefully allow me to drive it to Carlisle next year. A little tire smoking won't hurt this car. As you said, this NYer is a beast!
Without ever have owned any other HP C body car, can you blame me? The power is no comparison to my Imperial or 300.
Just wondering how many on this forum hasn't tried a burn out in their car? Call me crazy, but ever since my first car at 17, a 69 Road Runner, I always get a kick out of doing a burn out every now & then.

The gutless was there when I arrived Saturday morning. It had to have been left overnight.
My first thought was....Ut Oh...the GM guys are coming and trying to stake their claim to "our" parking area.
Thanks to my brothers, we put the registration tent and tables in a hurry, and I was prepared to tell him we had this meet scheduled since January. Luckily, in the end there wasn't any other clubs planning on having their event the same day.
Funny thing though, when the owner came to retrieve his GM, he took off right away, and didn't even stay to look at our cars.

That's a pretty bold thing to say to someone you don't know. Considering Lea resurrected the BOAB from a nearly 35 year neglect.

That's because he is a GM guy, NOT a Mopar or c-body guy. He most likely thinks our cars are worthless anyway. How many cars were at the show anyway? Too bad I'm so far away on the east coast, otherwise I probably would of came.

Yes he did, and I saw the photos. He did a lot of work and the car looks fantastic. I saw it at Carlisle last year. I definitely respect car owners who do their own work. I regret saying what I said now, and am seriously sorry to Lea that I said it. I'm not like Rob Wolf from Collector's Guide, I don't think that I carry an arrogant attitude. I love all the older cars out there. But I hate when the cars sit outside and deteriorate, when they could be on the road. My point is, if you leave an older car outside, and do not have a garage to put it in, get rid of it. It will get worse faster over time.

**** I'd be a Toyota owner if I followed that attitude. I'm glad I have storage for my cars now, but they all have sat outside, and they are fine. They like the rain.

That's still a bold statement to make, almost like telling someone how to build their car. We will just have to agree to disagree. (I am taking donations for a shop to store all my cars in one place, PM me for details!)

I wasn't able to make it with a car, but the parts hauler made it, and I had a blast, before the show at Wyatt's, at the show, the after show(s) and then at Fox Lake the next day. Rain didn't ruin my weekend, but did make for less cars than we were hoping. Looks like the Minnesota show is safe, for this year! We got twice the Minnesota cars there this year, but I'm hoping for a caravan down to Illinois next year. @DocMcNeedy and others in MN, we need to show up in force! It was good to meet some members I hadn't, and see the ones I have. I start working on my fleet later today, and will have a car ready for the road for next year's show. Just one of those years, bit the Volo show will always be one I attend, it's a great time to relax and talk about our cars, in a beautiful setting. Thanks again @sixpkrt and @Xenon for hosting and being your charming selfes, I'm looking forward to next year already.

And to @cbarge and @'69FuryIIIConvertible, thanks for making it an international event, and smashing the long distance hauler award, you really raised the bar!
