Wrong AND ridiculous? Not sure how a 3" exhaust system with mostly hidden tailpipes is wrong behind a 500 hp engine in a 22 foot long car.
Seems proportionally correct to me. But, I might be biased.
As far as Accurate Exhaust goes, they ran into the same problem most completely do when manufacturering parts for C bodies: Lack of real interest in purchasing the parts.
When I worked at Strange Engineering, I was able to talk them into making 30 sets of Cbody axles. Only 5 sets sold. I completely understand why any company, especially a small company, stops manufacturing parts for a group that doesn't purchase these parts.
Not stock, but here's how they are on my '70 Newport.

Yea another Zombie tailpipe thread! After reading the whole thread I forget... was this for a Plymouth right? Here's some period correct screenshots from the ABC "1969" TV series episode about the Manson murders (I think I have posted these before) to backup what I remember of the tailpipes on my 2 1968 PK21's.

Close to what I actually remember as being original when I got my first 1968 PK21 in the fall of 1970 that I have found on the net in this century here.
Here are some that are close but 'No Cigar'.
I can remember having to replace the right side tailpipe right off the bat in the spring of 1971 as it had rusted out in the area going over the axle and the Walker tailpipe looked like this with me having to trace the slash angle from the LS pipe and hack saw the Walker pipe to match (fun).
I was told that the slash cut and bend were designed into the pipe to prevent the tailpipe from getting packed with snow if someone backed into a snowbank hard. That was from a old timer back then so who am I to question it.

It is a well known fact that the stock from the factory 60's era 426 Hemi would put out 500+ HP in the right hands of a good 'Tuner', heck even Nick's Garage has a Dyno video of a bone stock 440 Magnum putting out over 400 HP in this decade.
Soooo.... 3" pipes and super loud mufflers? Really? NOS Hemi Mufflers or if anyone actually makes a exact reproduction these days and stock diameter pipes will do just fine for a street runner. Or do you have a Engineering Degree higher than the Chrysler Engineer's?
Oh yea for a little historical fact, back in the early 60's Chrysler did a top speed run here on the beach in Daytona with a Chrysler 300 (I know there's a article here 'bout it), one of the performance mods to the car were special 'Arvin' (?) mufflers. Were these the predecessor to the Hemi muffler? And who made the mufflers for Chrysler back in the 60's & 70's? I really doubt they were made 'in house'.
