Hard to tell if this is a St Regis coupe or 4drHT. If it's a coupe, it looks like it could be the super low mile one that was at Carlisle this year, and that we had the big dust-up about on the board a while back. It obviously has a light color body and a darker roof. Seat belts are a light color, so the interior is most likely gray, tan, or light blue. The car at Carlisle was a light gray St Regis with a black top and gray interior.

Did someone took a closer look at Richard's car in Carlisle and maybe took pictures of it--and any blemishes we suspected here?

Just as a support for your memory, I refer to this car:

There were a number who had to go look... I had no desire. I don't hate the car, but the seller's attitude rubbed me wrong and I was there to be happy...

I didn't look at the car.

Same sentiment as Jeff.

On page 22 of this thread, posts #438 and #439, monaco75 posted pics of Richard's car shot at Carlisle.

Oh, that had gone entirely past by me. Thank you for pointing me to these posts (and photos).

Even after we pointed out the obvious about the car long before Carlisle.....the owner didn't even make an attempt to correct a thing on the claimed "original" car with an Imperial hood ornament, stripes in the wrong place, the wrong battery and the battery holdown won't work because of the wrong battery. He's lucky he didnt burn the "original" car to the ground with the holdown dangerously laying close next to the positive post and grounding out.

Yup, the battery hold down only being kept from shorting out the battery by it's plastic coating is like begging for desaster. Plus I never had a problem using it to keep modern type and/or higher batteries down.

IIRC from the new Carlisle pictures, what I saw in a new blemish was the headliner was dropped/toast, remember folks all this barn find patina and decay for a car that never saw the light of day only adds value (too some).
:realcrazy:

You do know the story of Michels car when for sale? It started at two hundred thousand and two years later sold for less than 5% of asking.
The Polara vert? As I recall pretty much what you told him. This car sadly has a similarly delusional owner but so far there's no indication he will listen to reason. Maybe this time next year.

I'don know, I guess the eekBay world has a whole set of new rules/guidelines.
Use too be never bid/buy a high price item from anyone with low/bad/no feedback.
The guys clueless, has had a eBay account and never used it for 2 years?

I'd be really suspicious of this guy. Mileage picture still shows 393 miles (old pic)

And if you look closely with the eBay magnifier, does it look like the clear plastic has some 'crazing' going on? Doesn't look right for a car that has never seen the "light of day".
The gear indicator plastic looks clearer.

He should get together with the Wheeler Dealer over on BaT, He'll 'Git'er Done'.

Don't forget folks that on Craigslist in Florida the "Blue Pig" (1977 NYB coupe) is on sale again....$7700!
