1978 New Yorker w/o St. Regis

UFFff that color... what the he'll were they thinking!

I like it, but the Golden Fawn paint they put on that Ultra rare Special Edition in 1974 I don't like at all.

Yes save it before the demo squad hear about it! What kind of $$ are they looking for? It looks like about $2K to me

I've noticed that it seems most if not all of the formal New Yorker coupes on this forum have the St. Regis roof package. With that being said I have came across locally a traditional hardtop coupe with the sunroof. Would this '78 New Yorker be a oddity? I have seen a few Newport posts with the standard roof but rarely a New Yorker.

I'm considering taking a closer look at her. Owner says it needs some TLC.

I have a 78 2 door without that package & love it that way.

I know where you can get this entire interior in plush (crushed velvet??) red instead of leather, if you pick this up and that appeals to you.
Mine has crushed velvet and love it. I

also had a four-door with gold leather interior.

Not knowing what your intentions are if you manage to pick up this car. But just from first-hand experience getting those seats redone in the OE leather is going to cost you!! Lol.

Wow. My Dad had seats like that in his New Yorker. I can't remember if his was a 78. I do remember that were extremely comfortable, almost too comfortable!

Update: I may have lost track of the New Yorker. It's hard matching schedules when you work evenings when everyone else seems to work days. (Don't even get me started on being a one man crew) And now it just disappeared off facebook and not labeled as sold but removed. I am waiting to hear back if it's sold, still available, or he decided not to get rid of her.

There's very little of anything on Craigslist....That site really dried up the last few months.

Facebook has taken a huge chunk of their business, but craigslist seems to be making a bit of a comeback. Even though facebook marketplace is free to advertise, the quality of the buyers is pretty poor. Over the last few months I've sold four vehicles using eBay, craigslist and facebook simultaneously, and none of them sold via facebook. Facebook marketplace has a feature where people can click a button to ask if your item is still available, and you are constantly getting messages from that. When you respond "yes", 90% never reply back.

I don't see much on FB either. Am I doing something wrong? I have an interest in the Imp and NYB Formals.
