Your fuel line pump to carb has to be better than mine. Any pics to help me design it better?

Title says it all... Lol.

1965 Fury, mostly stock. Not looking for any Hi-Po stuff. I just want it to looks better than this setup. It's an eyesore.

Is yours stock style? I have same engine in a 68 but my fuel filter is beside the water pump. Wondering if mine is incorrect.
 
Also, if you're looking around the Inline website, you have to be clever to figure what OTHER car might have your particular setup.

The kit I posted above is NOT listed for a 1970 Chrysler 300 w/440. It's for a RRunner with a 440......same difference.
 
That 300 is what I'm looking for. Clean and tight. I have to cut back my heater hoses and look up the fuel line and filter placement you have. Looks great!
 
And if I may be unkind for a brief moment....that Mopar sticker on the booster has GOT to go. It's out of synch (decade-wise) with your otherwise very nice underhood.

Remember, a metal or for that matter rubber fuel line should never touch any part of the engine not only because of the heat transfer but due to vibration over time can lead to a hole in the line.

Yep, which is why I put a piece of split fuel hose over top of the actual fuel hose and/or steel line where it simply INSISTS on touching the engine no matter how much you fiddle with it during assembly.

Sure... I appreciate that! I was wondering how accurate that sticker was. Should there be any at all? My setup is not back to historic accuracy, but I'd like to get the things right that I can.
 
Yeah, the Mopar sticker is like totally 70's, dude! :D

Only thing I've ever seen on a booster is a decal or a blob of yellow or orange paint, depending on a lot of "what ifs". I'm thinking "nothing at all" is the better option unless someone knows exactly what should be there.

ECS Automotive Concepts - POWER BRAKE BOOSTER DECAL I don't think this is remotely correct for your car, but you get the idea.

I purchased maybe 15 of the various ECS decals and wiring harness tags when I was finishing up my car. It was a fun "finishing touch", even if a part number WAS for a Hemi Cuda harness.

Another tiny detail that I cared about is this common filter decal. I decided to keep the old decal in place with it's 49 (?) year old "patina" scuff mark instead of using the new one I got with the pie tin kit.

Oh, and the Mopar valve covers and all other non-OEM stuff are long gone.

I did my line as per factory. Plus used a sheathing to eliminate any percolation.
From a service point of a view a real pain in the *** where removing the alternator to access the fuel filter...which explains why your filter is conveniently located.

No definitely not. Your location is actually correct. Whoever owned my car before I bought it (I'm the 3rd owner) changed a few things. Some made sense, but not factory correct. The fuel line hanging out there makes sense for maintenance and keeping the fuel cool/avoiding vapor lock, but looks ridiculous. If you see there is also a plate under the carb to reduce vapor lock as well.

My power steering hose uses the brake master cylinder line as a support??

I'm going to clean all of this up and get it right. So far so good. I'll run the fuel line like the 300 has it, and see what I can do with the rest.

The MC is going to be changed to a dual, and I'm also changing out the Booster as I have no idea how old it is. It's fairly rusted underneath. Might as well knock it out when I do the conversion along with all new brake lines

The goal is to get as close to a factory look, but very functional and safe. She's not a trailer queen, and I want to drive her a lot more that just shows.

And the original location for fuel filter after the pump.
I prefer this to rubber fuel connections on top of engine.
Replacement of pump, rod and filter is duo-able without yanking alt.
Biggest problem was getting some light back there to see everthing.

That setup is it. I have a Carter AFB 4bbl as well. I'll buy the right line per spec and place it all as it should be.
