Has anyone have any history on the mancini racing electronic conversion kits for 440? Mine went out again, going to start from scratch and wire myself.

Is the wiring harness the issue? Why not repair it if it is? What is the failure mode for your system? Just curious . . .

I bought a second new ign switch, one on the car had the solder cobb job between 2 terminals. 1st new made Hot light come on. the one was good. changed the ballast and it ran 2 wks. This morning it died in the garage. Changed ballast again this still no spark. Of all the conversion diagrams and info i get, mine was not done right. Best ican tell i have 1 wire coming from ign to ballast and other side of ballast going to dist.

I want to get a complete new kit and redo it myself. tracing each wire correctly. This ran great for over a year till the first ballast burned out. Now i am afraid to leave the driveway till its right.

Ive looked at summit, mopar direct, jegs. aint sure whats best. want to make sure i have correct coil to.

Rather than the FSM for your car, you might need to look in the Mopar Perf Race Manual that covers the electronic ignition system?

Just some thoughts,

As a follow up, a lot of the conversion packages these days have ChiCom electronics, even some of the Mopar orange box units. I do not bother to put that stuff on anything I work on, as most of it is crap. Go with quality to start with and don't look back.

Thanks Dave. I think i ran across his stuff last night scanning the globe.

THANKS DAVE! Your seal of approval on Ehrenberg's stuff reassures me on a number of purchases I've made from him. You're right too. I'm really glad to see this post.
My brother has followed E-booger for years, and he's done many of his tech articles and bought components from him with no problems. He stands behind and knows his stuff! Good Luck

My new ignition kit is on the way from Ricks, sounds like his parts are well respected! Also got my plug wires on the way from Lectric limited. Thanks for the tips guys.

He seems to be 24K gold, and that's as rare as the pure metal itself.
