Will be a long slow road with the car 4hrs away on my mom's farm. It's my first car, bought in 1992.

Are you going to run a manual or auto? This will be interesting, I have seen lots on turbo LS, but not much about turbo late model Hemi's

Sb 727 to keep it easy to start with.
There are turbo gen III's out there, they make silly power without trying. There's an old wagoneer with a 5.7 that's making over 700hp to the wheels with a stock engine. He then upgraded the the mmx drop in kit tho he hadn't broke anything.
Just need to use a 09+ eagle headed engine

Lots of things changed, piston design moved the rings down and bigger end gap, better rods, heads are better

Eagle heads move lots more air since low end torque was done by variable valve timing instead of the small ports on the earlier engines.
You can stake the seats in with a center punch for a quicky or have them done right with valve job. Personally I would not waste $ on early heads at all.

Funny, the drain plug was fubar so I had to air hammer a hole in the pan to drain the oil!

Cruddy hemi meet cruddy 727 meet *)&#^(*&#^$)(@ $500 oil pan

So I thought I had hurt the fury engine last fall but didn't. Sitting there with 1 turbo, plumbing, and head off. I was going to put a better set of heads I have on it and go, but the engine has had a vibration I can't diagnose for a long time and I eventually want a 5.7/nag turbo setup in it. So for now it's going to slumber, hopefully not for long. Will be looking for a solid 383 short block in parallel to get it back together.

We've got a decent shop back on the farm in Iowa. Great set up for doing all this, just 4hrs away. I built the efi and turbo set ups for my Fury in my house garage. I've got too major of work (to start at least) on the Coronet to do that. I at least would need to get the engine/trans in and then decide to take my 1 stall allotment in the garage with it rather than a driving hot rod (68 Charger in there at present). Maybe next winter.

What's the turbo from?
Old dump truck or something. It appears to be a 76mm with a 1.23 AR T6 hotside. An old TVxxxx series turbo. Not the best set up for a small gas engine, but definitely good enough for mocking up.

Wow, ambitious project! What’s the plan for the car then, are you going to race it again?
Yes. I really want to get back to racing. Ultimately that's why I'm digging into the Coronet and not the Fury at the moment. Faster route to racing would be a BB NA stroker, but I'm personally more interested in building turbo cars now. My Charger will stay NA BB for a change of pace :)
