68 Newport with twist

Careful...you may get dragged into the dark side;)
I appreciate that comment actually.
Really hoping people are surprised by how original it should look. Wont fool any here truly but to most people it could have come this way.
It's a few years off but want to eventually recover seats in the original cloth.

Hard to see the grain but the dark stain will make it pop.
Parchment paper between veneer and base worked very slick.

Think I have a steering wheel system. Didn't know about these tuff wheel adapters till one appeared for sale here.
Found the wheel on ebay with rough foam. Plan is to peel foam and recover with maple to match dash. Trying to decide exposed rivet or not.

Couldn't find an early panel for under the steering column. After I removed padding the old cover stuck out. Decided to just form one so now its metal unlike the plastic it replaces.

I would be really interested in pics of any area in your T&C interior that had wood grain on it actually. Looking for options.

I think the dash is the only thing with any real amount of wood grain, wagon is buried right now so can't go out and investigate but I did remember to dig out the radio delete panel and snap a pic.

Steering wheel arrived from tonysparts.com off ebay. Foam has been removed and waiting for adapter to arrive from Wolfen for test fit before fitting wood trim.

Everything needed trimming, tweaking and shimming to get it to look pretty much the same as when I started this morning. Just 5 hours gone. The radio face in particular was a special kind of pain in the ***. One small plate has gone wandering and requires some searching.
Appreciate the input.
