I found a 74' Chrysler Imperial, 440, loaded, 4 door. 2 owner car with 42,000 original miles. Looks solid all around just weather beaten from being outside since 1994. The guy say it used to run and drive. Just turns over now. He basically told me to make him an offer. What's a fair going market value for these?

Still rather vague to evaluate but I’d offer $800 based on your post.

A car that sat for that long is likely to have lots of problems. The fact that the engine is free is a good start. It will need a complete fuel system, all new hoses and a complete brake system rebuild. You would want to check the under side of the car if it is going to be a project. If the floors and frame are rotted, it is a parts car about $750. Sadly, that is about all it is worth as a project and trying to bring it back will be expensive and the market for 4Drs probably will not justify the expense unless you really like the car and plan to keep it.

I have to go back out that way on Sunday. He said I can stop back by. It is open, look inside, do whatever I want. I will take some pictures then. Worse case scenario I may scoop it up for the drivetrain.

Part the rough ones and send em out as a gladiator before they become a Prius or Tesla.
This particular one is not sounding rough so my comment pertaining to this vehicle stands.

Knowing me as well as I do. I will probably fix whatever it needs, drain the tank, rebuild the carb, change the fluids, tune up and drive it as it is. I love these big ole boats.

Show up with a half-gallon of bourbon, 3 cans of fix-a-flat, a blank bill of sale, and $600 in mixed bills; call me when you're buzzed to the point of calling the car a Krissler Perial and I'll tell you how much to give him.

OK... I like you much more now... :welcome:

You don't talk enough for me to remember you.

Location and pictures would make a big difference for anyone wanting to buy...

I'm still waiting for my Alberta connection to find/negotiate the fifth wheel 74 Imperial for me... He needs to get her for way under $2500 to help cover my gas money home.
