in 10 days the dvap/desert valley auto parts salvage yard in phoenix will be closed and is moving all its inventory to the casa grande arizona location

Hell yeah. The Phoenix spot has more of the stuff I like but the drive there from south Chandler is dismal. Nice open desert roads to the casa grande spot

So I guess they'll now charge even more for everything to make up for the cost of the move!

I called them for Metal I need for my NYB.. and of course they have exactly what I need. BUT! Their prices are absurd.. I know others have had good experiences there.. they want almost as much as you’d pay for a whole car.. so the search continues.

Give HVAP a try, hidden valley auto parts. I love the drive out there too. There’s a good stretch to top out the v6 charger blacktop and a whole lotta dirt turn offs for slides hehe

I only got the '12 up to 116 before I backed off. Too bad I had to give it back.

The 2018 is electronically limited to 119. I assume it’s because the car came with all seasons from the factory (still is) and feels reeeaaaalllll strange up there. I hear you can easily remove that limiter with some plug in tuner thingy and it can go over 140. We may do that if we ever put summer tires on, or upgrade to a v8 model down the road. I still really love the v6, it’s misunderstood.

It felt like it had plenty to go, I got upo to 92 from a stop and it was in 5th gear, a turn made me let off. Handling was something I never even put to the test, it handled much better than I expected.

Arizona Junkyard pics

These pics are of every mopar I could find at the yards. I was under the impression that the yards were being moved to the black canyon. That's where most of these pics are from. Am I just confusing Arizona locations?

That’s the thing with the pentastar, it’s an aluminum block and obviously pretty small at like 220ci so the weight distribution is the best of all chargers, weighs 3900 lbs AND has a longer wheelbase than the challenger. With the high compression 6 cyl it all adds up to be a really nice car through the turns, and fun enough in the high rpms to keep you entertained.

Most of the big holding yards were maricopa mobile or casa grande(mopar mountain) these were all crushed out years ago except for hidden valley. Most of the land was sold during the gold rush of the housing boom. I believe there are still old derelict holding yards out there but they aren’t really sale yards. New river/Black canyon had yards too but they were flooded out in the 80’s & 90’s. Who knows, I hated dealing w DVAP and all the cool Broadway stuff in south Phoenix have been gone for over 25 years. Even Manzanita was killed off for the dirt under it... stuffs out there just gotta go find it.

I had a good experience with dvap Phoenix when picking up the Monaco. Just haven’t returned because of the distance and it’s no fun getting there

I guess I should qualify my remarks so I don’t come off as being unfair. What I meant was back in the day you had lots and lots of other choices. Some of these places were much easier to deal with. No matter what we gotta give em props for saving the parts for us. Thats what really is priceless. Now that mopar only yard on Broadway was a real hoot to deal with lol!!! Talk about knowing what you had and having enough barrels to put every customer that showed up over one. That place was an I need it so I’m biting the bullet spot.

Not surprised they made a killing on the land. In spite of this Covid crap going on building both residential and commercial is booming here in the Phoenix area. Besides housing developments everywhere there are huge concrete warehouses going up in all parts of the valley. Around my area in the west valley they are popping up on all the farmland. Very sad to see.

So does CTC AUTO RANCH in Denton, Tx. ah bit south of Dallas rite on !-35
no no he doesnt its all chevys. you didnt read this post. trust me this guy doesnt exist. its not even in texas. ctc means chevy to chevy. he sold all his mopars out. theres only pintos and camaros left. go away. these arent the droids youre looking for. move along. move along.

Are they still on track for that big truck stop?

No, actually we just found out yesterday that the land owners made a deal to sell that Land to someone else. Not sure if Loves backed out or what. We can't stop the growth but hopefully we can at least have a say as to what does get built.
