I'm not a metal man but...

If you get bored and dont have enough work, i can bring my Newport for you. :D

Excellent work! Thanks for sharing your progress and pics! I have my fury almost fully torn apart and going to start metal work soon.

What gauge of sheet metal are you using?

Thanks! I have been very busy at my work for an couple of weeks so process is slow at a moment but summer vacation will start next week!
I'm not sure about gauges but I use 1 millimeter ( gauge 19 / 0.04 in ?) for sheet metal and 1.5 mm ( somewhere between 16 and 17 gauge) for structural parts.
Enjoy your metal work! :)

Mika

Some new progress. Firewall FINALLY back in place ! Inside surfaces painted two coats of epoxy, and PU topcoat. All the hard to reach corners I sprayed with cavity wax spray gun (..yes, epoxy and Pu..), it dosen't look like so nice but more important is good layers of paint. After welding back together all seams taped and then more PU paint ( that also have rust inhibitors) from inside to fill all caps. Afterwards finalizing with pu sealer. I think this will last at least next 50 years..I hope!
Outside looks messy but sandblasting for a last time will clean that before epoxy.
Also rear weatherstrip canal corners done.
Regards
Mika
