We are in hurricane season folks! So along with masks everywhere, the grocery store shelves mostly recovered from the panic shopping a few months ago, protestors criminals who got to go out and cause mayhem with the blessings of the government and the media, lots of people out of work... Mother Nature deserves to get to come along and kicks us all right in the goodie bag. I'm hoping for a hard kick.

Isaias is a disappointment, dropped to a tropical storm and was only ever a Cat 1, but hopefully is just the warning shot to see who's paying attention. My prediction is not many. Based on my shopping trip this morning where there was lots of batteries and bottled water and even TP available... I'd say most of FL was sleeping at the wheel, already bought their hurricane supplies (batteries were a big seller in the early days of the covid panic, folks here are too stupid to remember what they're panic shopping for), or dismissed this storm as I did, even though the cone of uncertainty still did cut through central Floriduh.

We still have plenty of time, and honestly, something inside of me really wants to watch the shitshow of all the idiots scrambling before a potent storm may hit. There is another side, that would hate to lose the freezer, but I think I have that covered.

I also think it may be fun to watch the political parties spend their time blaming each other for the weather.

Hope y'all stay safe down there, with all of the things going on! Covertly keeping the essential supplies "in stock" for you, as possible.

Take care, stay well, and make your own weather predictions from the www.weather.gov website.

There's mostly a lot of Rich folks from New York and other "Well healed" purchasers from this country that live/own these residences! It just happens to be a lot of foreign money/investments that are building this stuff in Miami and Miami Beach and elsewhere!

Well, I've been to South Beach and I thought I had left the USA...

that is what I thought when I flew into the US over Miami for several years. I had it several times in Miami that no one understood me. And I spoke english but not my counterpart. Made me thinking who is the foreigner:lol:

Did Miami ever get a new airport? The old one was God awful, what seemed like a 2 mile walk to get back to the rest of the world. Guess the rich people pull up to the close gates, the pee one like myself end up at the gates you need more than 10 fingers to get to.

Hang in there Florida! Hoping it blows by without incident for you.

I had the pleasure of doing auto repos in Miami (not South Beach) from 2003-2005.
Gunshots all night long, cops 4 and 5 cars deep in riot gear wolf packs, almost 3rd world stuff.
We're not in Kansas any more Toto.

Just a reference, here is an F3 tornado that my cousin got caught in in the 1980s. He hid in a ditch, saw the tractor he had abandoned fly over him, got sucked out of the ditch and got bounced on corn stalk stubble.
He contracted an odd infection in his knee that almost cost him his leg (knee down).
These things are nothing to fiddle with...
