Located in Italy, given it´s a 2door looks very unmolested and solid it´s not that expensive at 28k€. Transfers into ~ 33.500$ due to the USD being kinda weak the last weeks.

Description

1958 Imperial Southampton coupè - original hemi engine 392 cid with 345HP and Torqueflite automatic pushbotton transmission.
This car was imported from California in 1993 and during the following years was restored with original two tone exterior color Bamboo yellow- Ermine white . Some trims were rechromed as well it was the rear bumper ( the front bumper was too big for that shop and job was postponed and actually never done)
Interiors were completely redone ordering repro of original materials from SMS autointeriors in Oregon . Seat combo is gold vinyl/ original diamond glow textured fabric . New correct white headliner, and wool carpet . The dash pad was restored with moulded tan vinyl ,it looks quite similar like original stamped one. The truck covering is missing .
Standard engine re building with new bearings, piston rings, head valves job, water pump etc, original Carter AFB rebuilded, additional electric pump and steel fan shroud installed.
New brake pump and wheel cylinders , redone drum pads.
Partial rebuilding of steering and suspensions components like arm bushings , joints, and shock absorbers.
Electric wiring and components are still the original equipment as well the generator , regulator , distributor ecc, the indicators and brake light flashing was modified according to European Standard. It rides on Goodrich tires 9.50 x 14 , Factory original size made only for Imperials.
The car has Italian plates and Registration, it has regular MOT test valid until January 2022. Price is net for the car , no other extra cost is included.

If interested I can give more detailed infos and even other pictures, the car is located about 30km from florence where it can be seen and tested on the road.

I know the car very well, having imported for my friend who is selling the car. Bought the car from Ernie Grossich in San Bernardino, and was one of the most rustfree cars I had ever seen. Everything has been restored and now the car is running perfectly.
 
Rare, and beautiful - would be nice to see it get "re-partriated," or find a good home where it won't have to make such a journey...…

I saw that listing as well and wondered how two nearly identical cars could exist. But they are indeed different cars since the one at Mecum has manual windows and the one over there has electric windows.

I find it also interesting that the car overseas was bought from Ernie Grossich of Colton/San Bernardino, CA who passed away a few years ago now. He is also the one from whom I purchased my 1958 Dodge Regal Lancer, but have not yet restored it:

In the background is the facility where Ernie worked on his own cars and had a wealth of old car parts in his building both upstairs and downstairs. His son Gary is now trying to sell those old parts but it is a tedious task and he doesn't have a lot of personal time to devote to the effort.

But it isn't factory IIRC.
it always had bronze involved (with white or black)

The 58 Imperial looks nice. But I am pretty sure it will stay in Europe.
Even though it might be difficult to sell it in Italy. Most serious people for Forwardlookers live in Scandinavia

Ernie Grossich put some primer on the car before I acquired it (2 different shades). The fender tag shows it was white and bronze. I preferred that combination over black and bronze. But they both look great.
 
Thanks Carsten - I have seen that one in Sweden a couple of times before in going through google images. It looks like a very nice car.

It just needs the trim on the passenger door lined up better and the wiper arms properly installed.
 
@saforwardlook , this is a little way from thread but you talked about Colton/San Bernardino . My friend lived up there for late-8o's to early-90's and I had two very nice visits there in -86 and -88.
First time I brought-59 Windsor from original owner and second trip was time to -66 300 aka OldWarHorse. Windsor left to Sweden years ago ( ...stupid me but we where young couple with my wife and we need that money...).
There was one parts store in Colton (..maybe Colton autoparts..) and the owner's Marry and Larry were friends with Markku so they were our number one part supplier. They were very nice people and I have lots of memories from those trips.
