SO I GET ON THE FREEWAY AND ILL FLOOR IT AND I NOTICE ONCE I GET OFF THE FREEWAY AND I COME TO A STOP THE CAR IDLES LOW AND TURNS OFF AS IF I FLOODED. ALREADY INSTALLED NEW CARB AND NEW FUEL PUMP. I TOOK IT TO A STAR SMOG CERTIFIED TECH AND THE MADE THE SUPPOSED CORRECTIONS BUT NOW I HAVE THIS ISSUE....:drama:

Most likely as you replaced the carb, a piece of crud broke loose and got lodged under the seat for the needle valve. You will need to disassemble the carb to clean it. While you have it apart check the floats for fuel by shaking them, some of the new replacement floats are made in China and have very poor solder joints that leak fuel into the floats and cause them to stop working.

A friend of mine had this happen recently as well. In his case at least, it turned out to be a needle and seat issue. Apparently some of the Hygrade rebuild kits and maybe some of the others are including some small clips that attach between the needles and floats that are interfering with the seats closing when they are opened widely due to high fuel flow under WOT conditions. So check them with the air horn removed and see if they move freely to open and close when you turn the airhorn down and then turn it up to see if they close properly. It took a couple tries before he found out this was the issue. He replaced the needle/seats/clips and hasn't had a problem since. Like you, his issue only occurred after WOT accelerations.

Tough to diagnose over the internet.

I'd try turning the idle speed up just a little.

Might end up playing with the ignition timing and idle mixture, but I'd approach it with some caution. I'll bet it's something with timing and idle speed. It might be interesting to check the timing when this happens.

Maybe it's cause caps lock is stuck on.

Once it dies, does it start right back up? If flooding, usually you need to clear flood it or it hiccups and pops before it starts

I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE FLOOD TO CLEAR UP FOR IT TO RUN PROPERLY BUT IF THE CAR TURNS OFF I CAN GET IT BACK STARTED TO GET TO MY DESTINATION, BUT ONCE IT SITS FOR A GOOD AMOUNT OF TIME THEN ITS BACK TO NORMAL

I would lean towards the float hanging up therory. Or, if it's got a metering rod, that is hanging up

Is the choke have a spring in the manifold to open it when warm?

Hints do not seem to be working..
So lets try this:
72BugsFury, **QUIT** typing in CAPS and **QUIT** typing in BOLD....

72BugsFury, if you do not wish to play nicely then do not expect others to play with you...
You will soon end up on many peeps *IGNORE* list...

Carb in the photo is a Carter BBD, as noted, also for a '74 and later vehicle.

It should still work, might be set leaner due to more modern emission standards. Exploded view for your reference is attached.
