Nothing wrong with the mini starter. ;) With the originality of the car maybe try and find a date coded OEM starter just to have. :)

well today I took the car for a 10 mile drive, engine runs strong but the clutch is a PITA starting out. I've already purchased a new one but I'm not looking forward to that job. I also wanted to mention. I had my original radiator rebuilt and improved. They put bigger cores/fins which resulted in a 25% increase in cooling capabilities. They used my top and bottom tank so looks perfect. The cost was more than reasonable and great person to deal with. He does anything.

He who hesitates, ...

Here's a pix of the radiator, I 've got an appointment to have the clutch put in this Friday, I just couldn't bring myself to do the change, at 72 years old, I've lost all arm strength and I don't think the transmission has lost any weight.

New clutch is in and it brings back memories driving a 3 spd on the column. My first experience was my uncle's 50 Studebaker which my cousin and i beat the crap out of it
