1972-73 IMPERIAL FOR SALE Tracker starting NOW into INFINITY.

Just one crappy picture of a 4 door, blue with white top covered in an inch of dust asking 10k...good luck...

Edit
She's also offering a 78 Cadillac sitting next to the Imp completely covered in dust. She says she's trying to help a friend to sell the cars. Probably an eldery woman with the cars of her deceased husband. Think 10k is just a random number on both of these cars. Might be a decent chance for someone to get a maybe 1 owner survivor

1973 Chrysler Imperial | eBay

I have a 1973 Chrysler Imperial lebaron. Car has been sitting in a barn since mid 90's. it was started and moved around a couple times a year until about 8 years ago. I believe it s the original numbers matching 440 and trans. It does start, run and yard drive. Motor needs a full tune up and the passenger side exhaust manifold has a gasket leak. Brakes also d gone through. Interior of e car is amazing for the year. Everything works including power seats with the exception of power door looks. Drivers door power wind goes up and down with assistance. Driver side rear window doesn't move. Both passenger windows work fine. Dash is perfect with no cracks. Seats are really nice with no rips The plastic covers on the backs of the seats are cracked. Shown in pic Headliner is great Exterior of the car is very nice with original paint. Driver side of the is really nice with a little rust bubbling around rear quarter. Passenger rear quarter has about a 6' rot spot and bubbling in other spots. All shown in pics. The underneath of the car is about as clean as they come. Frame rails are perfect. Floors are perfect. All mounts are perfect. also shown in pics. This car is very nice and will make someone a great cruiser with a little work. Look over all pic s carefully and if you have any questions please ask. Car is being sold as is with no reserve. Please only bid if you are a serious buyer as these auctions cost money

@AussieFellaWithaCbody haven´t you been searching for a 2 door to restore ? here you go, it´s all there all original. The interior looks
fantastic, no cracks in the dashboard or steering wheel. It sure needs everything checked mechanic wise after sitting 25 years but for
a project this might be your car

Thank you for posting about YM23T3C263603 ! I also see (in order on the tag):

R48 power antenna
M45 fender skirts
N88 cruise control
G11 tinted windows

PS: L61 cannot be right -- this car has no rear door; I think it may be L68, auto headlamp dimmer

I found one in similar condition for 5k that i am in the process of buying but the election has currently put the sale on the owners back burner... but i can't blame anyone for that as nothing gets done here in australia during our federal election. hell we are all even gripped by your election. But i do agree, that car is a very good restoration base. Also is rust at the base of the rear window underneath the vinyl common on these cars Or should i be worried?

Very common on fuselage C-bodies, I am afraid. Crud gets under the vinyl at the edge, starts to trap moisture, and the rust starts. Here is the example of Buttercup, my 1972 NYB. In the past 30 years, she was driven weekly. She was kept in a garage until she was moved to a carport 1-2 years ago. Despite the protection, there is some rust on the driver's side at the edge of the rear window (see here the photos taken by @71Polara383, who is helping me restore the car) but nowhere else (the rest of the roof under the vinyl was perfect, see here).

Good luck with your acquisition -- photos would be great :poke:

Congratulations and good luck with the delivery!! I'm looking forward to your restoration thread. Is it a 72 or 73 that you bought?
The rear window frame und the dutchmanpanel below are often the first spots to rust

Oh cool I figure burnished red metallic then. Great color:thumbsup:

Description

1972 Imperial. Selling as is. Needed a number for milage it obviously hasn't been driven in quiet some time. So there really isn't much millage and if there is hard to tell. For any more information on the car call GARY
7.000$

If you apply the rust rule of thumb ( 1/3rd you see, 1/3rd you guess and 1/3rd surprises you) on this car cart one has to conclude there won't be much sheet metal left if you sandblast it

1972 4dr for sale on FB in Pittsburgh, PA. Only four pics, no interior or driver-side photo in the ad. The washer bottle seems to be MIA. I think I see H53 Auto Temp (see below). From the seller:

"1972 Imperial, good running 440 engine. This is a running, driving car. Very solid car with some small dings and scratches. Everything seems to work except the AC. $7,800.00 obo"
