Did I think I’d have this hanging around for so long? Absolutely not. It’s really just happenstance it’s on my wall at all.

Luckily I met Don Rook, but sadly it was a short acquaintance. If you have any interest at all there is a Tribute to him, that I penned, and a nonexistent ‘70 Hurst. The Search feature works well.
My wife and I are still friends with Don’s wife Kathy. She approved of the article, my wife was able to get a very nice copy from here and it was mailed to Kathy as a surprise. She even sent me more items to include as shortly I plan on extending the Tribute to Don. So please be aware. This Car Invoice, I believe, belongs to a ‘65 300L 4-speed that has recently been offered for sale on this site.

This is another 300L that I photographed at Don’s the one day he knew me and my wife who he quizzed about his collection of cars as he showed us around his Chrysler grounds. This ‘65 Letter Car is still in Arkansas as far as I know.

Here it is the famous bar that is half in Arkansas (8 Ball Pool and Latrine side) and half in Oklahoma (Drinking and Fighting side). Don would only bring his best of friends there and there are a few members here at C-bodies that clinked a beer bottle or two with Don. Don was full of stories and I believe his wife described him as sometimes being cantankerous. That art on the wall is a beauty in the eye of the beholder. It’s a beautiful 4-speed that is for sale and I hear the AM/FM radio even works. There’s a thirst that has suddenly appeared and a hankering for a beverage. Ice cold Keystone beer sounds like the cure.

Can I call this wall art if it’s still on the original dash? Maybe it can be used as a key chain trinket.

This was found in a resale shop that specializes in kids clothing and such. Hanging on the wall, totally out of place, in Ireland of all places. We were having our clothes cleaned at a laundry shop nearby, as there weren’t any self service laundry mats. Paid by the pound and you had to watch those leprechauns because they don’t dry them all the way so the clothes are heavier.
Anyways, there wasn’t a price tag on this AAA wooden sign so I offered 5 Euros. The very young blonde hair, blue eyed lass was a little hesitant but excepted the offer. Yea, I felt like a pulled off a fast one. That is until I found it would not fit in my hard back suitcase. I pushed and shimmed that thing and couldn’t get the zipper to close. 50 Euros was the shipping cost but being frugal there had to be a cheaper way. Members of our touring group were quizzed on the sizes of their luggage, every one was smaller except for my older sister’s. Her’s was the same size but a soft back type. Hallelujah, the luck of the Irish paid off, made it through customs, and now has a prominent place on my garage wall in the good old U S of A.
I don’t know the age of this AAA sign or if there were others from the 50 States. Any ideas out there?

View attachment 447029Here’s an original, never shown to the masses, pure mistake of an old 35mm camera picture, in 3-D of a 1968 Hemi DODGE Charger. The camera I was using got stuck on the last photo frame and I snapped off 3 shots of this Charger. There are 3 different views of it. The viewers Charger Challenge will be to find all 3. There’s no prizes, but we’re all winners, it just takes longer for some realize that. Let’s chew the cud for awhile.

1. Right side of the car from the front.
2. Engine compartment.
3. 3/4 right front shot.

I had originally discarded this picture on the negatives and don’t think the corner Fast Photo Shop ever printed it.
I sent the negative back in to be printed after gazing at it awhile. It didn’t make sense at first. When I saw the developed result, it turned out to be one of my best mistakes!
I’m going to let all this sit out there, let it sink in. I think @65 500 has it. I have something else for you all to look for in this picture but I’m saving it for later.

After turning the picture sideways you’ll see almost the whole right side, the hood up and a lake plus trees in the background. In the first view there is a truck/vehicle in the upper left corner with, I believe 3 people standing nearby, @Rustyrodknocker.
So now the secret question:} What’s special about the wheels?

Dont know, they are full wheel covers. So it was a sleeper.
For shits sake I finally just got the last perspective.
Its easier to see if you don't look so close.

That’s it @PH27L7. Those wheel covers are on the rare side and that’s not Breaking News. The picture I have was blown up to 11”x8” and I’ve always wanted to do a poster size to see what the details were like but Sharpness would probably suffer. But still I think I’ll put it on my bucket list. The whole think would scream 70’s psychedelic.

Well it does sit against the wall so I’ll call it wall art. This 1965 45rpm jukebox was a recent addition to the garage. It does work and came with 2 containers of records. I’ll try to attach a 60 second video of it playing a Madonna jazz number called Hanky Panky. Sorry, no go on the video link.
