Might start with converting to electronic ignition as a start.......Car get's here next Wednesday, so first job is a gentle run for a few miles.........then take it from there.........

My '66 Fury has 440 [not the original engine] with 4 speed manual trans...........I intend to use it as much as I can, and was wondering if an aftermarket fuel injection system was worth considering.......

After doing some research, it appears to be a '72 440 , describes as a truck engine....possibly out of a motorhome, perhaps?

VIN number is PP23966156586, engine number on reg doc is 398830440.......which seems to suggest it was originally a 383.........the second number makes no sense at all.....will have a closer look when the car arrives.......

I'll have a closer inspection when it arrives.......suspect engine is from a later car..........

It's not matching numbers.........but, too be quite honest, over here that doesn't seem to mean as much as it does in the US
