    newport exhaust

Trying to utilize good parts off of the 68 300 on the 68 Newport convertible, now the dual exhaust will not fit on the drivers side as it hits the torsion bar. aren't these the same frames? Then tried to use the old y pipe from the 383 on the updated 440,this does not work either as it hits the...

    68 newport Fuel line

Am I thinking right that the hard line from the fuel pump to carb is 5/16"? Do you all run hardline all the way up then hose on top of engine?

    1968 newport steering leak

Filled the power steering pump last night and this morning it is on the floor, appears to be coming from the back of the box. On m 66 b body I replaced the box with a rebuilt, but did it while the motor was out. Can I remove/replace the box and leave the steering column alone or does that have...

    Wiring woes

A lot of good information, I have a manual, I ordered the colored version as I used one for my 66 b body, the version for the c body was incorrect in the color of wires I looked at when I had the dash on the bench and sent it back. I checked the door switch and it tests fine with a meter. it was...

1967 Chrysler Newport Custom lighting questions.

Thinking the signal light flasher is just weak, try changing it. Running lights are powered from the signal light switch in the steering column I think. at least there are wires for them coming down form the switch. my 68 does not have cornering lights so I just cut them off at the switch.

    Wiring woes

Hooked up power to the 68 vert today and had no parking lights, had headlights but no parking lights. in the process of troubleshooting the headlight switch I put 12 volts to the yellow wire on the dash dimmer switch plug trying to see if I could get park lights to come on. smoked the yellow...

    68 newport signal lights

Addition - So the switch being red in color would indicate it is a Saginaw column without tilt? No cornering lights either..

    68 newport signal lights

Needing to bite the bullet and order a new signal light switch for the 68 Newport convert. where is the best place to get it. The car has side marker lights in the bumper but no turn lights that come on for turning if that makes any sense. the switch is red in color without tilt steering.

    68 newport signal lights

No we had picked up a repair part with the canceling arms on it, this is the first part that comes off. The repair part has 2 wires on it and the red one on the original unit has 3 wires on it. I understand the entire switch has many wires. this is the part that moves with the handle.
