Hey all!! I’m looking to purchase new 11x3 front brake drums for my 68 New Yorker. Anyone know where I can buy them?

You KNOW where, Isaiah...
I have the N.O.S. 11" x 3" Front Brake Drums, LEFTY and Right Front Wheel Studs, N.O.S. Front 11" x 3"
+++ Asbestos +++ Brake Shoes --- such that you don't rip up those brake drums to smithereens --- and have the nicest, smooooooothest braking known to mankind....
And a whole lot more......

The only killer, is that they are very very heavy and I am in New York and you are in California.... Shipping is going to be a good chunk.....

Thanks Craig! It looks like a few people have said my drums look good enough to be turned and used yet again. I'll roll with them, but definitely contact you if anything else happens!

:wtf:So as usual, you like to beat on members that don't agree with you. very low class as usual.

My uncle used to say that people that act like yourself can't even be referred to as assholes because assholes serve a purpose.
In my opinion, you fall into this area quite quickly.

My apologies to the creator of this thread for having to respond to "I'm a member here only to profit from others and bully them if they don't buy my parts or disagree with my self-serving opinion"...

Go ahead and respond if you wish mobiled**k-head, I won't be following this thread any further.

Make sure to have the brake shoes arched to the drums once you turn them so the seat in nicely.

Isaiah,
As you know, I will always be happy to serve you..
This fix it moron fixes everything with spit and bubble gum,
And cries about the price of bubble gum, because his spit is FREE.....
Yours, Craig.....
Looking at the pictures of those drums, they DO look pretty thin.....
Remember , 11.000 " is NEW, 11.090" is Discard .....

Be true to your word, for once, fix it, DO NOT follow this thread.....
Isaiah does not need your USELESS , WRONG opinions /
" Advice "....
Thankfully, good riddance fixit....

Well, disregarding all the above BS. I have a very nice "right" drum if you decide you need one. Mine is off my 67 Polara, I'm in Alabama. 36535 for shipping costs.

Will.

After reading this, now I am a little curious. Just did a front end rebuild and brakes on my 67 Polara. Drums/hubs were original, and shoes had previously been replaced. The old shoes on the front were 2 3/4", so that is what I replaced them with, although it looked like the drums were wide enough for 3" shoes. Are they supposed to be 3"? They are working great now, but bigger would be better-

You measure the shoes. I got 3" shoes when I needed 2 & 3/4" shoes. The drum is wider than the shoes, by about 1/4". My bad, now I have a sweet I'll never use.

Chrysler used 11" x 3" up front ONLY.....

Dodge Monacos and Polaras and Plymouth Furys and VIPs
Had both the Light Duty system --- 11" x 2 3/4" Fronts and
11" x 2" Rears.... and
The Heavy Duty System --- 11" x 3" Fronts and 11" x 2 1/2"
Rears....

And,the Brake Drum is "named" by the width of the brake shoe.... the Brake Drum depth is always an extra 1/4" deeper,
Because the brake shoe is centered, and does not go
" lip - to - lip"...

So, in reality, an 11" x 2 3/4" Brake Drum is 3" Deep....
And an 11" x 3" Brake Drum is 3 1/4" Deep....

(And, you need to let me know if you want the Brake Drums this year before the show... You were nice enough to allow that other gentleman to grab yours last year !!!!)
