is there a specific leather seat conditioner that works best my 68 Imperial has some cracks starting & I would like to use a conditioner to atleast help from them getting worse or slow it down or is there some other way to help the seats?

I have tried others like Lexol and other typical store brands but not Ammo Mousse but for me, the Leatherique is the best. It also seems to be the choice of owners of concours cars that appear at Pebble Beach, etc.
I do have to try Leatherique.

Leatherique is a 2-step process, and requires more $$$ up front than most, but it really works well, and with the big bottles you get, you won't have to replace it for a l-o-n-g time. Can't remember if it was on the bottle, or if I read it somewhere. Park the car outside on a sunny day to warm up the leather before doing step 1, and the leather just drinks it right up...….Good luck.

Agreed. I would wait for a couple of hot Humid Minnesota summer days then slather the leather rejuvenator on the seats and park the car in the sun. Leatherique isn't cheap but trying to save the original leather vs replacing it makes it worth trying.

I have had excellent results from this.....

thanks fellas I did some research & it looks like I'll have to send leatherique a 1x1 color sample so they can match it because I have some cracks that need to be fixed anyone know where I could get a sample for the antique gold leather interior code M9E for my 68 imp

It’s really dark, more black then gold. Here’s a pic from the ‘68 Color & Trim book.

I'd do whatever it takes to preserve that original. The metallic/iridescent leathers are the most difficult (and costly, by far) to duplicate. GOod luck.

yes that is my plan & for the most part it is in really good condition except a few cracks & scratches. It looks like the leathereique stuff will allow me to repair the cracks & scratches as long as I can send them a sample for them to color match

is there anywhere I could get a similar book so I could send it off for them to color match?
The book I have is for sale but not cheap, it’s the large desktop version of a rare book. That being said I’m sure you could sell it for what you pay for it.

$250 + shipping.
I can take some pics fo you if you’re interested. You might even want to keep it.
