I posted many months ago about needing quarters or patch panels. Someone said they were going to start making patch panels this Spring. Havent seen anything and cant find his name. Can any one help??? Thanks.
I completely hear you. But I was hoping whoever it was wasnt pulling my leg on making the patches. Not giving up just yet LoL ThanksIn the World of C-body, as painful as it might be, finding a good parts car for such things might be a better way to do things than waiting on the aftermarket to spend the massive amounts of money to tool-up for such things. Might also be better, in the long run, to remove the entire quarter panel from the donor car and replace the whole thing, drilling out the spot welds and cutting through the seam sealer and such, as if there is rust in that one area, it's probably in other places too. That way, you have "factory metal" to deal with rather than what you might otherwise get.
To me, this is the reality of the situation, unfortunately.

Do you have a point of contact???? I appreciate your reply. There are aftermarket full and 1/2 skins.
They are garbage. I know as I bought a pair, and got my money back.
I ponied up and bought a pair of gorgeous full quarters from Desert Valley in AZ, and had them shipped up. Best decision I ever made regarding the rear of the car. They literally dropped right in. Even most of the spot welds were in the same places.
Beautiful dry parts, fantastic trunk extensions etc.

Those taillights...They had a right side when I was there in March 2019. It looks like there's another '66 behind the blue coupe, but I didn't take any photos of it, so likely there wasn't anything good left on it. I tried to take photos of all the cars with good quarters, since those are the hardest thing to get for C bodies.

They also had a pretty decent four door Monaco.

Prepare yourself for sticker shock if you decide to call for pricing, both for the parts and shipping cost.

Thanks a ton for the lead on the quarter! My son rode along with me to get it and not only did we score a NOS quarter for my Polara, but the guy was nice enough to show us some of his family’s amazing cars! He even hooked up the battery on his Superbird and let my son beep the horn so he could hear the voice of the Roadrunner. Amazing day when you get a part you need and get to see a perfect Superbird and an amazing 71 Hemi Charger. He still has it, I'll PM you his info.
