What is my most economical option to restore my 300L console lid? I got a quote from Just Dashes, and it was almost $1000, which I need to buy other necessary interior parts. The vinyl is sun baked crispy so it needs to be completely rebuilt. Has anybody attempted to rebuild their own? It looks like something that's possible for me to attempt, but I am wondering if anybody has tried this with success.

I keep a list of things I need and check ebay daily when having my cup a Joe. eBay can also alert you if item lists, but not very accurate. I am restoring a 60 electra (along with mopar stuff) with buckets and rare console popped up. It takes months and years but kinda like looking for treasure at garage sale. If money no object ......Just Dashes

I think ABC Moparts is repopping them . . . could use vinyl paint to get any color you need . . .

That looks like a great option. I have emailed them to see if they have a possibility of other colors.

Have you tried checking with local auto upholstery shops? (maybe a boat refit shop, too ). A local autobody shop should be able to recommend a good one. I don't know how it works here in the US but back home we would/had to repair almost anything.
