Carlisle 2021

 You should try some of the offerings from Great Lakes. Or New Glarus. Or Sam Adam. Or or or…. And I respectfully submit that even PBR is the best two bucks you’ll ever spend.

If it can't be bought locally..... It doesn't exist....

I've never been to the moon, but I am pretty sure it does exist. Just saying...

This said: New Glarus can't be bought outside of WI, you're right on that. Great Lakes is not available in all states, either. But if you are you telling me that Sam Adams (for example) cannot be bought in Alabama, then I've got 124 suggestions for you in Mobile alone.

There are so many breweries, farm breweries (must have a % of ingredients from the farm), and tap rooms around you could add a few days to any trip for just beer. I always try to stop at one before or after driving to Carlisle.

Here is some info cheers to the fathers!

Miller made a "Special Reserve" that allegedly was not exported out of the city of Milwaukee. My great grandfather came to the U.S. in 1880 as a brewer for Miller beer. My grandfather worked there too. When I was in the Army (I was a social drinker - special events and occasional weekends). I quit drinking all together and quit smoking when I came back from the Gulf War.
My grandfather could still buy heavily discounted beer from the brewery after he retired. So he had several cases of this Miller Special Reserve when I came back from deployments. I believe it was 1980.

This is going to be an expensive trip. Oh well, money isn't real.

I'll enjoy it, no matter the cost of fuel.

Soooo...How bad you getting hosed at the pump? That's still cheaper that any stations around here.
After getting the new shoes on the 69 Imperial this morning, I needed to hit the gas station and paid $4.19/gal for premium.

Got passes for Medina, my 1971 Monaco (50-year birthday), and for one of my NYBs. Probably will be Buttercup, my '72 GY4 two-door.
PS: It is unlikely that I will get Medina repainted in the original GY9 Dark Gold before the event, as I will have my hands full with other things till then. I hope that her current stripe does not keep @fc7_plumcrazy away from the show :)
Don't worry, I will buy some red paint at a local home depot and paint the white stripe kinda reddish
Waa, it's 50 years of 1971 man bring Medina!
Buttercup will in all likelihood not be completely ready for Carlisle after all, but Medina will be (minus the A/C, as the shop on which @71Polara383 and I had been counting is booked solid through July).

--> By popular request, I will therefore bring Medina to the 1971 reunion. @MAGNUM77 is getting my other pass for his 1971 blue Polara sedan, and he and I will meet up in Streetboro, OH to head out to Carlisle. That'll be two 1971 senior Dodges at the 50th reunion, and I am sure there will be more.
--> Buttercup will attend next year, at the 50-year reunion of the 1972 C-bodies.

PS: this year's will be the first Carlisle show that Poppy, my 1970 Polara 'vert, will miss since I bought her. She is ready and willing to go, but the logistics won't work out this year.

47 cents a gallon in taxes. That's 9.40 right there in free money to the state and fed. MFers!

Oh by the way, gas tax pays for highway construction and maintenance.
I didn't even notice that sticker when I took the picture. They get you with gas tax, and the wheelage tax when you buy your yearly tabs. Tabs are due in my 98 Ram, might just have to go collector on that one this year, is still have my Avenger to remain legal.
