Carlisle 2021

This will be my third year.
My best buy so far was on Thursday evening. I arrived late Thursday and started combing the spots. Found a few goodies.

I'm attending for the FIRST time. Do you guys know anything about Thursday swap meet shopping? As a professional spectator can I get in? Thanks for any advice.

A lot of vendors will be in place on Thursday. It's a good time to shop. Most vendors will be out and about looking for bargains to resell on Friday and Saturday. Thurs/Friday are the best shopping days. Saturday starts out a madhouse early.

Carlisle charges at the gate now on Thursday because they are very aware that many "spectators" / buyers are there on Thursday to scoop up the early deals, buy the "one only used items", and start their shopping lists, so they can get that completed early on, such that they then can enjoy the show... (Plus, their money might be all used up !!!)

Another tip for first timers --- walk both sides of the aisle such that you Don't miss half the show -- or then have to walk it twice.....

It is large, it is impressive, and has become the # 1 MOPAR Event in this Universe...

And, I dare say, if you want to see the best MOPAR spread of parts in all of Chryslers @ Carlisle, swing by me at
H 106 - H 108, right next to the bathrooms / shower house.... I do "B" body, I do "E" body, I do "A" body, I DO
*** "C" *** body, and I do 1930 - 1962 MOPAR, as well....

Have Fun, Share Laughs, Stay Dry, and Drink Fluids...
You absolutely WILL have a great time... See ya' there...

For the first timers, WATER! WATER! WATER ! is a must, usually hot and Humid there also sunblock if you burn. Comfortable closed shoes also so your feet do not burn, seriously lots of walking around. Shade is at a premium there also so be prepared. I usually have a space to cool off in for a bit if needed just stop by O-189.

The only thing I would add to this is Gatorade as well as water. There will be a tent behind the ugly duckling where you can get some shade too.

In the usual spots P14-16 along the fence.

Will have 1960-61 Dodge and Desoto parts. Check my post in the "mopar parts cars" section for some of the parts available.

Send a PM if looking for anything specific.

I have a 61 Plymouth deck lid that our friend SGT FURY, (California) needs. Shipping a deck lid is a trying experience. I suggested we might try relaying it to him through members here. I can get it to Carlisle and wondering if someone going west could take it as far as they are going. The further the better, obviously.
Any suggestions ?

Is there going to be a group picture this year, and if so, where, time, and day? If it has already been decided and I missed it, sorry about that.

We need a life size card board cut out.
I'll MOON that space, so now you've been warned

This is a spitting image for a life sized cutout of Dave......
