So I bought this one today.

And here are the west coast pieces.:)

Matt, you're a bona-fide badass sir! You guys in the rust belt impress the hell out of me with your metal working skills. I can't even remember the last time I had to fire up my Millermatic 35! Whenever I want to complain about my dried out upholstery, I think of the mess you guys have to deal with.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

For the most part I fabricate for a living so Doing repairs like this is easy and cheap compared to crispy interiors IMO.. with the right parts car…

Decided to cut out a little more floor that was thinner than it first appeared so here it is with the last bracket and the forward patches welded in.:)

Crispy interiors...describes my '69 Dodge D300 to a "T". Being a desert truck for over half of its life, the body is amazing; and the seat was hard as a rock, with the visors practically cracking in my hands. It'll be $900, with me buying the material, and the upholsterer doing a re-foam on the seat and visors. I'd rather deal with interior issues over a rusted car.

Matt, you put me to shame. I've been whining all week about removing an old windshield and installing a new one on the truck. You've got half a car welded up.

And then back inside for a little more welding before I call it a day.

Finished up the metal work needed to reinstall the stub frame. I do have a little work to do on the rear crossmember for the front seat on the passenger side and that will obviously need to get done before the buckets can go back in.

Unreal, Matt! You really do terrific work. Are you now on your way to a full restoration?
Thanks Man! Only the front and of course the interior and I’m really just making a driver out of it so no serious exterior cosmetics.

I knew the numbers had to be stamped somewhere on the body I had just never actually seen them. In preparation for some painting I stumbled across the cowl stamping on the passenger side above the hvac motor.

Moving towards painting the firewall I got out the wire brushes and scouring pads and was impressed with the results of elbow grease alone.
I also cleaned out the cowl straight down to the rockers and am very pleased with how clean it is under the relatively thin layer of leaves.

Love to watch the Imperials that you are restoring, wish I had your talent. 1967 is one of my favorites and this one's going to be awesome
