Carlisle 2021

But yours don't get recharged. Sucking them dry will cause settling like in California. You'll be 10ft lower in elevation before your dead

Sorry everyone, didn't mean to "rain on your parade" (pardon the pun) and ruin the Carlisle experience. Now back to our regularly scheduled program.

Carlisle, Wednesday evening last year.

Well they say that we have enormous underground aquafers that hold enough reserves that we are good for the short term
Don't let them fool you, Chris. Our town has two private water companies and one of our wells went dry last week. Thankfully if filled up again in a couple hours but Holy ****...I think our state forgets we are a DESERT!

@david hill and I made it to Carlisle today. Here is David's pristine 1969 300 'vert leading the way in Ohio around 10:30 this morning.

The weather for the trip today was OK (the temps remained friendly; there was some rain, but nothing awful) till we made it to Central Pennsylvania. About 20 miles west of Carlisle, we got a "slow to 35mph or you'll crash" kind of downpour. A carwash would have looked like the Sahara desert by comparison. Great thing that @71Polara383 had replaced the splash shields on Medina!

Given the crappy weather, David and I went our separate ways after getting a glimpse of the soggy grounds from I-76. I took the opportunity to meet @MAGNUM77 at his hotel (and get a peek at his cool EB7 1971 Polara sedan) to give him the sticker for his car, before heading to my own hotel (I saw some eye candy on the way: @Big_John 's hard-to-miss 1970 300 'vert).

Here is Medina parked around the corner from a nice Greek restaurant in Mechanicsburg just before dinner. Hope the weather clears up and look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

John Schneider did a burnout leaving Spring Fling in Van Nuys before they put a stop to it in the General Lee and got totally sideways and out of control. Needless to say he won the unofficial burn out contest that year.

I’m like a kid on Christmas morning, up at 5am! I’m only 10miles from Carlisle, so it’s a little overkill, but I’ll be there soon in my 66 Polara convertible. Can’t wait to see all of the cool cars!

Just scored this NOS 73 Fury fender today for the big beige wagon when we hopefully redo that car over someday!
