Wheel system got a whole lot of love on this abandoned ‘68! She’ll be on the road once more after being gone from it for 42 years. See pics for some incredible before and after shots! New brakes and hardware all around. Existing backing plates and drums were wire brushed, degreased, sanded and painted! New bearings and seals for front and rear, including a new inner axle seal. Axle shaft end play was reset and finally she came off the jack stands after months !

I haven't seen a whitewall 14 inch tire for sale around here for years...I presume those were special order?

They are readily available for lowrider applications! Nothing special, but you can order them from websites that supply lowrider parts. These tires I have mounted to my car are 175/75r 14 tires with 14x7 cragar wheels. My car will be a static dropped Lowrider! Not trying to go too low. Perhaps just a bit lower than it is now and I’ll be happy with it. Have to order the correct length shocks to keep it that way!

Thanks for the information...I never would have thought to look at lowriders as a source for something like this...but as soon as you mentioned it it made sense. Lowriders are not a "thing" in Winnipeg...the potholes/ road conditions here make it impractical.

I couldn't even get out of my driveway...
