1969 Imperial LeBaron 2 door hardtop

Isnt big back window same as Newport/300/New Yorker? I like small window on Imperials, but on Challenger SE its ugly.
Hmmm Newport with Imperial insert and small window.... :) :)
There's a '69 LeBaron coupe on Craigslist going for $500, perfect donor car...

Like to share pictures of my 69 imp with you.

Some might seen these already

I had confused information when i painted them: Black, body color, vinyl top color.
So i left centers bare metallic and painted covers silver and black.
Maybe i have to paint them tuscan pronze as body, not bad idea at all

But still 1 of 244 Crown Coupes. I would've bought it. I tried it but I had to compete with a guy how showed up with cash and a trailer...

Going back to your comment that you would swap out the window: I think the chrome trim is different on vinyl cars versus paint. So that might require more changes than just the window. Which isn’t to say that you aren’t just the man to handle that.... just letting you know of a potential additional level of effort

How is the B9 car doing ? the owner hasn´t been active on this forum for a couple of years ..
Does someone has updates on that car ?

Hello Jussi!
I`ve been wondering if yours is painted in T5. Am I right or wrong?

I'm sorry, its T7, Tuscan Bronze.
I'm not sure, wasn't T5 available for -69 Imperials, only for Chryslers?

T7, I`ve been drooling that paint on the brochure of Chryslers. And yes T5 was available for Imperials
according to paint charts on Hamtramck-historical.com

Oops..
I was also wrong about the T5, so it was not available for Imperials. That`s my bad.

All Imps had vinyl tops from 69 on because they used a rear window plug.
Vinyl top was optional on the few 69 Crown because they had the Chrysler roofline with larger back window. Many still had the vinyl top but not all. The Crown vinyl top material was the Chrysler grain instead of the fine pebble grain used on LeBaron from that time through 73.

Maybe it was this one...............

Tony Fortner's 1969 Imperial LeBaron Coupe
Imperial Home Page -> Imperials by Year -> 1969 -> Tony Fortner

Here are a few pictures of my 1969 Imperial LeBaron coupe. I have had this car for nearly 5 years now, and I just love it. I have really gone through this car in many areas. The Budd brakes, of course, needed to be rebuilt, but I would not convert them for any reason. I have gone through the transmission, re-covered the seats, and replaced the tires and new exhaust as well.

Even though this car has the larger "Crown" rear window, it is actually a LeBaron! Here's the story about it: when I purchased it from the seller in Detroit, the back window had been broken at one time, and they replaced it with a larger rear window for a Crown. The previous owner didn't keep the window insert because he liked the larger rear window. I guess we all get rid of things that we don't feel are necessary at the time, but now I wish I had the correct rear window! If you know of someone who has an insert, please let me know so I can make it original someday! For right now, it will have the larger back window.

This is also a rather strangely optioned car. It has the rear heat and defrost, but no power windows. It does have the bucket seats with the door stretcher, but yet only came with the AM radio. This car also serves as a great machine for pulling my 26 ft camping trailer in the summer! It pulls the camper effortlessly and looks good doing it. It still needs a few trim pieces that I am having a hard time locating, but I will still find them.

a 1969 Imperial with manual windows would be rare due to the way the full door armrest is positioned. I thought electric windows came along standard long be fore that (on Imperial). Can you post pictures of inside door panel with the manual window and vent, if it has it.
