67 Polara 500 convertible

I also put the rear interior panels I refinished back in and reinstalled the original seat cushions. I had the front arm rest/buddy seat re-upholstered so it would match the front seat covers that were done earlier. Much better now.
I still want to refinish the door panels. And am looking at the original carpet.... It looked OK at first but now, with all the upgrades, it's looking a little shabby.

SEM makes a rattlecan paint for carpet that works great.

Thanks Matt. I have used it on this carpet a while back. It does work good as an alternative to replacement. 54 years and my carpet is thin, brittle.... but doesn't look bad. replacing it will be a impulse decision.... :)

It is still primarily a original survivor, not a show car. It's in "drive anywhere" condition now.

I'm thinking low 30's. I can see the eyelids raising....... Think about duplicating it for that much! If anyone wants to talk about it, pm me.

I have a paper trail to when the original owner bought the car at Antone Dodge in Portland Oregon. The original owners manual, protecto card, six broadcast sheets, Every registration issued from Sept 67 to sept 74. The original license plate is on the car. The sales order to the second owner in 1970. Extensive service records. Receipts for parts and services from 1967 to current.

Good luck with the sale, Will. I can’t imagine that not being an absolute summer must have to someone.

I'd love to see this car go to someone here. I just can't do it or I'd be really tempted.

As I explained to Will, the previous owner, Matt Sager, shares a name with my late son.
 
I just finished reading the whole thread, what a great ride! I'm glad you got to enjoy some shows, but I know the real enjoyment is the process. I wish it had AC......and I had a spare $30k+......

This car is one of the most rust free C body's I've seen. If someone stripped it and refinished everything it would likely become the nicest car of its kind in existence.
Likely put you upside down in value but that's the cost of perfection.

Nah... she's too good as she sits, and worn just enough that you don't have to count stone chips... Not going to restart the "survivor" discussion, but she's got to be one of the best/most original and functional cars from the era.
