Hit the weekly Tuesday cruise-in at the Auburn Hills Culvers restaurant first time this year. Holy crap has this show grown. When I left at 6:30 pm they had 520 cars and counting. All makes and years allowed but a surprisingly small mopar presence tonight considering the location. This is a very well run event every Tuesday night with the best grub you’ll find at a car event.

And fitting of yours truly, this is the only pic of the Monaco.
That thing next to me is a 1917 Buick truck.

Yeah, I know, but a hot-chick back in high school drove one of these. Daddy was a Ford exec.

The manager/owner started this over ten years ago. Pastor has been there from day one. It grew so much that the restaurant purchased the corner property, added the nice picnic tables with canopies and a killer permanent sound system cranking out the oldies. Can’t believe I was able to get out of there without hitting on a Butter Burger!

They use to have world class chicken in Wisconsin! Not anymore....I guess the prep was too labor intensive. The fish is pretty good too!!!

All those cars and the drive-through window was busy lined-up two abreast.

Yep, both are excellent. The fryers were busy tonight!

Funny story......

I go for country cruises all the time. I'm retired....what else am I going to do. Well, I was driving on Highway 1 through Southern Pennsylvania and I see a blue Culver's sign on the highway. I bet I searched a 50 square mile area around that Culver sign. No luck.....I couldn't find the Culver. So I gave in and stopped at a John Deere dealer and asked where was the Culver hiding. He said that Culver closed more than a decade ago.....they just never took the sign down. Lol

One of these days….
My brother takes his Mustang to this often but I can never bring myself to leave the shop early enough to make it.

Yeah, it starts at four and was pretty packed by five, but cars come and go so they can usually find a spot for you.
I worked a half mile down Brown road for years and left the office at four pm. Perfect!
