Hi all - selling our 70 Plymouth Fury Police (PK41) Parts car - really rough, have it on eBay right not but would sell it outright for $800. No title.

Here is the link:
1970 Plymouth Fury | eBay

Thanks and I can answer any questions.

We thought the same thing but it didn't have any of the ID markings WSP would use on it. It has some goofy stickers on the dash like "Jelly Bean" and call numbers which led us to believe it wasn't. Really weird, A/C car...
Thanks!

Very unusual to see a U code '70 PK41 with air. Most of the Fury 1's also had the belt line chrome deleted as part of the police package so that agency decals could be installed more easily.

Just a quick'ee FT decode (some hard to make out)

Looks like R99. Thats not listed in Galen's White Book but I'm going to say it means a special order radio which I've never seen before.

Hi All - thank you for the comments. We found this car in a junkyard in NE WI and it was on the verge of being scrapped. We just didn't have the heart to let that happened. When we decoded it - we couldn't find the R99 code either. The car was really odd for a squad, it never appears to have had a spot light and we surmise it was an unmarked.

The call numbers on the right of the dash - we tried to tie them back to an agency but had not luck. I know it was unit "Jelly Bean" lol! Thank you for all of the interest. This is a GREAT site. For any member we would do $700 for the everything. No much luck on eSlay which we figured would be the case.

Again, we would do $700 for any C Body Member. Car can sit as long as necessary to arrange for picking it up. I would love to see this restored, must have been a fun car to drive in the day. But know there is a bunch of parts that could keep another PK41U alive! Thank you all again!

Was there not a build sheet in the seats or anywhere else?

Unfortunately no, not behind the seats or on top of the glove box, nor under the rubber mat floor. Sure would have been nice....

What are the words/numbers under the "Jelly Bean" sticker on the dash? I suspect the "KFT???" is part of the FCC license to the law enforcement agency.

Could have been as something as simple as a radio not being available on a PK car. That would trigger a special order code.

I checked with retired Law Enforcement and the "KFY 7976" is used for CB's, not a law enforcement agency identifier. The fuel supplier tube behind the bumper tells me this is a retired State Patrol vehicle. I have not seen any ordered on local municipal vehicles. Did you double-check if the outside of the doors were painted white also the roof? years ago I owned a '73 AMC Ambassador that had always a factory medium blue color, no spotlight but had carpet and cloth seats but had the 401 motor and certified speedo. It was thought it could of been an administration car. The placement of the radio antenna tells me it was an add on.

Hi all - I do need to move this out of the garage. $550 takes everything! Thank you for looking, the kind comments and this awesome website! Ken

"Jelly Bean" appears to be a CB call sign, and the KFY 7976 is an FCC license number. So, the owner on the radio would respond something like "This is Jelly Bean, KFY 7976, out"
