Out running errands today.
88 degree and near 70% humidity at noon. Ya know, just like Carlisle in July.
The craziness started about noon today. I.E. a number of non street-legal cars and things in the street already.
It’s officially back as the big companies take over the parking lots up and down Woodward.
This used to be one of my parking spots. $10 for a reserved spot, with in & out privileges, all day and discounts on meals.
This is a scourge on the whole cruise imo. Hell, there’s a Ford dealership right down the street if I wanted to look at Broncos. They must be proud of their latest recall product.
This is my cruise loop. 14 mile road to around 10 1/2 mile. The epicenter is 13 to 12 mile roads come Saturday.
I’ll bet they’ve been there since pre-dawn. Lot of guys sleep in their cars Friday night saving their spot for Saturday.
This ‘64 sounded real nice!
And my “must stop” when in the area. Al’s Famous Deli. Best pastrami in The “D” imo.
One of the neat things about Woodward is it hasn’t all been rebuilt to those antiseptic looking brick buildings as seen in the background. Much of it still looks like it did in my H.S. days. Lets just say, um, well before VHS!
Heading back later at night in the Monaco when it’s cooler.
