I am going next weekend to look at a 59 300 2 door hardtop. Mostly complete minus engine. The car is rough. Is there a market for the trim, glass or interior parts? It is a bucket seat car. Thanks for the info.

Might want to think that over about parting the car. A car that is a #5 that can be restored is a $7.5-$10k car. If it is a rotted out hulk, probably a parts car, problem is, these cars are very rare so the parts potential might not be all that great. Some stuff, like the wire wheels with the correct center medallions are very difficult to find. Pretty much any '59 413 could be brought up to the letter series standard with the in line dual AFB carbs, but the factory carbs, linkage and air cleaners are another difficult item to find. You would be looking at a limited parts potential or a very expensive restoration, not for the faint of heart. For what it is worth, many body panels and glass items are shared with other Chryslers as is the frame.

The Letter Cars were niche cars when new. Low production, too. Neither of which equates to a lot of return on investment in a reasonable amount of time. Many of the ones worth restoring have already been done, but every now and then, another one shows up. In other words, no "quick money" in a short period of time, typically.

There are two long-time 300 Letter Car clubs in the USA. Perhaps they might be a good reference source too?

Problem can be that once you get past the items which made the car a Letter Car, all you have is "A Chrysler". Just like getting a Z/28 DZ 302 engine block surfaced. When the specific-to-Z/28 items are ground off of the ID pad, it becomes just another 4" bore Chevy block.

Just some thoughts,

Thanks for the info. That car has no floors. I bet the frame is shot. It is not a fixer. Just hated to see it go the the crusher. If their was a market for the parts.

Yes there is a market for the parts. There are a lot of items that are letter car only and hard to find.

Body and chassis wise it shares most parts with the full size Chryslers and Desotos from '57 through '59. Even if it is to far gone to restore, a lot of the parts are hard to find, you shouldn't have any trouble selling parts. The more options, the better. If you get the car, send pictures.

There is absolutely a demand for 1959 Chrysler 300E parts. I would reach out to members of the Chrysler 300 Club. They can give you good insight on what you bought and possibly help connect you to buyers for parts. Their website is CHRYSLER 300 CLUB INTERNATIONAL, INC.

One more thing: Please report the VIN number to the club. They have a registry they maintain for all the letter cars. Your's may be in it. If not, another letter car will have been found.
