Watched that, liked it, but no space or time for it... and it was in his name.

I was shopping for a replacement P/U... this one was the only big cab old truck in the deceased's name, but has rust all along the drip rail over the windshield... I was out LONG before the final sale... emailed the fella running this auction more than once and they never replied. All I'd have needed to double or triple my bid would have been some good faith that they would help by filling out a few required forms for FL titling. There were 2 similar trucks that I liked better, but screwed up paperwork... they went for a few hundred each... they also were earlier in the cue... so no buying this and then buying one of them for parts. :realcrazy:

Two 5 hour connected flights, plus layover time, hotel room and rental car for me to go get paperwork straight and then towing, storage and a second trip to retrieve just wasn't worth spending a full value bid on a vehicle like this. The hassles EVERY ONE of those cars will carry with it makes all of the prices seem out of line to me.

Some of the random bidding seemed related to other folks watching which cars were actually titled. I had, but have since deleted, a dozen or so cars in my watch list that had titles... the Valiant wagon was on of the best... the Formal Newport was the one that stole the show... I think it went for $650 and was titled in his name.

I did do well buying what I did, a wall hanger made from an plastic eagle and Imperial Whiskey letters, some obsolete Moog and several of the tool lots. I also have a private party picking it up cheaper than UPS and he won't try to park the truck on top of it for spite.

The books, wheel covers and whatever got delayed while they crashed their computer loading quality marking images like the one below... which was the only one for a set of 4 "Imperial" covers. Actually, half the wheel covers seemed to be "Imperial" despite Plymouth, Dodge or Desoto logos.

That satellite is not worth 19K. That is a crazy price. Perhaps the original owner bought it back at the "any price" range.
Someone got a good price on muscle era parts books, I hope it was you... I gave up before they got back online, but I see a few things got prices pushed hard... and as always, not the logical things... the high selling parts book went from $10 to $60 and was 1974 :wtf:. Lots of foolish bidders regretting bidding on the multi-lots today I imagine... These things went for $36 x 4 =$144 + %15 + shipping... it would have been a good savings to have bought them from HF at "fool price" and paid them for shipping.

Someone paid retail for some HF recall stands, and got an orphan crapsman stand thrown in

The bargains of the day were these... NOT MINE... TOO BIG... might have changed if I'd bought the truck.
garage/man cave art in current condition...
$3

$11... might even work if you still have a lean burn system...

I could not get a return email from them either.
The books went for really good prices in my opinion. I backed out last minute as I chose to not buy all the books. I would have easily spent 600 plus and then I would have had to loose 20+ hours drive time. I just decided I couldn't do it for the books. I'm having typical buyers regret in the opposite direction than usual. Should woulda coulda. Not to mention that I have zero experience with the books and don't really know which ones are what. So I'll just piece together my books one at a time. Sucks that there was a parts book there that went for 40 bucks that I'm about to buy from a ebodies.org member for 200 bucks. But I know when it's being shipped and who it's coming from so it kinda trumps the auction.
Non buyers remorse, I have.

I'm leaving in the morning to pick up my stash. (I did pretty good, I think. Spent a bunch but got some nice stuff). I'm also hauling Jeff's (cant flip) winnings back.
I have plenty of room to haul anyone else's stuff back to the Gulf Coast, (1000 miles closer east). for a little bit of gas money
.

PM me if I can help. I Plan to be there by Monday. You can get my phone # from Jeff and text me while on the road. They request a copy of your purchase contract form. and the invoice will have to be paid, of course. wouldn't hurt to call and let them know it's alright to release your parts. (my bidder #15386 William Rupprecht.

Sorry, I'm not equipped to haul vehicles.

Fuselage years are the most valuable it seems... I could have tried to buy/flip those ones... but not my style and I have no use for them myself. I managed to accumulate an entire spare set of books for the Formal years that I should get rid of... 2 sets just seems redundant :realcrazy:

Will, Did you make arrangements to pick your stuff up? Or, do you just show up? I have some stuff down there also, but it needs to go an a carrier. I have paid, but I have heard nothing about the procedure to pick up items that I have purchased?

Web site had pick up days listed... best to call if there's any questions.

I called. They were charging a process fee of 3% on credit/debit cards. but will allow me to pay by check once I get there and avoid the fee.
They sure know how to milk the fees. 15% buyers premium, state tax on the purchase total and then state tax on the buyers premium plus 3% to process a credit/debit card.

I bought 13 lots Matt. Highlights are the highway Hi-fi record player, paid dearly. I got the set of five motor wheel wire wheels, may end up on Virgil. A poly 4 bbl manifold with a very desireable 57/58 392 AFB. 3 AFB's and a WCFB with really good numbers. A couple old A/C units and a swamp cooler, A complete NOS jiffy jet windshield washer kit for Virgil. Some NOS switch's and controls to resell. And some brake boosters including a complete "bellows" type from forward look era. :)

Actual condition of fenders, hood trunk lid.
Condition of trim
Some interior pics
Floorboard and trunk condition
Overall idea if it’s restorable or just a parts car.

^^Kelsey Hayes wire wheels.... not bad! Is that the price you paid? Just curious.... I had a set of 5 which I aquired from an estate in 1983 and needed restoration. Sold them to a guy in Michigan a few months later....I wished I'd have kept them.

The set I got were all made by Motor wheel, in Detroit, just for Chrysler. Rare to find a matched set of five. Optional 53 to 56 from the factory but They were available over the counter until 1961. Most were chrome but also painted argent to reduce cost for us cheap Plymouth owners. Center caps were still chrome.
My plan is to blast and paint these wheels and have the caps rechromed and use them on my 61 Fury convertible.

A friend of mine picked up his car yesterday... He noticed that some of the cars were treated very violently when putting into trailers.

He heard that they were going to a scrab guy, some 10 cars all together.

What a shame...

Geee I thought pretty much everything sold and in the live stream ending comments they pretty much backed that up, but they did say that crusher trucks were waiting right off the property on the day of the auction and in the live stream they said they were glad that they were not going to be needed.
I take it the property was auctioned off first and was sold by the day of the car auction.

I can say that everything seems to have sold... since a bidder number required a credit card, I'm sure they planned to get their money and all the cars showed bids.

This scrab guy bid for all these cars to crush them, so my friend heard...
