'68 300

So, the rear axle is finally ready!! Now onto the drives shaft... anyone know what size universal joint replacements I should use? I hear spicers are pretty decent. Also was thinking of doing the new exhaust while this is all out of the way. Thoughts?

So I'm replacing the entire brake system and was curious if I can bleed the system and use it even though it's power brakes with no power(electrical and motor disassembled)? Or do I need to wait til I have vacuum again? Might be a dumb question but I'm still learning. Thanks guys

There are no dumb questions here, you just don't know. Your still learning and were all here to help one another.

Can someone please help me with the orientation of these??? I'm lost again. If someone has a pic that'd be awesome.

I REALLY need some help!!! I got a bendix booster rebuilt from booster Dewey. Got it back, went to install and nothing is even close. Do I need to take it (mounting plate, etc) apart more? Get a different plate? I am completely lost with this brake system. I tried to research it but found only bits and pieces of information that is not helpful at all. I'm at the giving up point now with these brakes.

So I think I need to remove that linkage, disconnect from pedal, then try to make something to mount the new booster direct to the firewall. Correct or no?

Interesting, my '68 300 has a completely different booster with no brackets on the firewall. Mine is an early version sold in September '67 so maybe they changed it throughout the model year? I've already replaced the master cylinder and I'm in the process of replacing the leaking booster

I might be showing up late to the party here. For some reason I'm not getting any alerts when you post new stuff to this thread.

The problem is that your car has dealer installed power brakes. You're going to need the correct power brake pedal set-up to correctly install that booster.

Hey guys!! It's been awhile since I've been on here. So, unfortunately I have to leave the 300 outside for the winter. I just had spine surgery and won't be able to do any work on her til spring. Any ideas what I can do to cover it up properly for the winter?? I'm on a strict budget and obviously a fitted cover won't do any good. I can't seem to find a cover big enough for this thing!!! Suggestions, options, please help!!!

What size tires did you end up with on the rear?
