I am going to attend the 34th Annual Mopars W/ Big Daddy. Extending a invite to members in the vicinity of Ocala feel free to stop by. May have others traveling down w/ me. More on that later. Hoping other members attend. The Museum By it's self is worth the admission alone. The cars on display give a look back into the auto evolution and the history of drag racing. Is anyone else attending.

In spite of inclement weather and a tank of questionable fuel on the way down, I made it to the MOPAR'S with Big Daddy. Turn out Sat. was a bit sparse. Did check out the swap meet area and made a big score on a bucket of dist. parts and a 440 dist. for the price of 5.00 each. Attracted a lot attention Sat considering the turn out was low. The big surprise was Sun., w/ good weather and much better attendance. Placed second Sat. and First on Sunday. The 300 garnered lots of attention from fellow participants, show attendee's. and staff. All the help I got after @ And Then It Caught Fire post, payed off
Thanks again to all who replied to the thread make getting to the show happen. David

The reincarnation of the Garlits show hasen't taken off as well as it used to be. The show at the Florida horse park, (1 1/2 miles up the road), next weekend is hosted by the club that used to host the Garlits show. It has grown to be very well attended, featuring a optional Friday night party and a great swap meet. If your going to make the trip down this show is the better of the two. Garlits museum is less than two miles.

Alright David, congratulations on the trophies your car is VERY worthy of them it's that nice! Glad you had a safe trip down and back and got some parts in the process while you were there, you are right in your first post by the way the museum alone IS worth the admission price. :)
