Bitchin Rides

Been a LONG time since I’ve been on here/posted. Hope everyone is doing well! Can’t lie, I’m a bit proud, and came here to see if anyone saw it. But that’s my ole car!!

The Bluesmobile

About crapped my pants when I saw it was on TV/Motor Trend! Pics of it surfaced earlier this year on Facebook when it was at the Bluesbrothers get together in Chicago. First time I saw it since I sold it. Then it appeared on this show and hot damn! LOL

The gentleman I sold it to, sold it to this current owner. I did a little stalking and found him on Facebook and reached out. Seems to be enjoying the car.

Had a little mixed emotions with what was displayed on the show (the wiring harness was professional replaced in 2010), but did laugh at the pulley situation with the motor. I fought that myself quite a bit! LOL but know it’s all part of the show of coarse.

I’m just beyond happy to see it out being enjoyed and all my metal work is holding up these last several years. Guess I didn’t do too bad! Ha!

Anyways, again hope everyone is doing good! I haven’t touched my Newport since the summer of 2021. Really need to get my *** back out to the garage!

I did do a little change out this summer! Finally got myself a “fob” to a new Scatpack I ordered! Been loving it! I’m sure Bob would have enjoyed seeing that, but after pursuing around it seems he has passed on. What a shame.. at least he’s off in a better place.

Good to see you around again. Cool that it is your old car. Take that Scat and hustle on down to @commando1 to give him a boost.

Thank you sir!! Been doing a bit of looking around, great to see some old friends/familiar faces. A lot of new folks around as well!

Now that would be fun!! Idk if as cool as the 4spd formal, but we could get into a little trouble at least LOL

Good to see you back Zack! You need to take a break from all that spending on those expensive trains you've been stocking up on! Nice progress on the layout, keep telling yourself it'll be done one day. :poke:

Didn't know for sure if it was your car or not when watching the show, but I did wonder if it was yours.
It's good to hear you're carrying on with life and the same goes for your old Blumo.

Wow.. Great to hear from ya Zack.. I saw the episode too, glad its being enjoyed and driven.

Like the New Toy as well. Enjoy! Maybe we'll see ya as Carlisle again?

John

Thanks Man!! Happy early Thanksgiving! Me too!! The show got me thinking about building another. But then go “hey, jackass! You already got a car waiting in line for some love” lol. Really need to get back out there. She has a full tank of turpentine stinking up the garage….

Hope your doing good!

Thanks man!! You as well!! Got a big kick out of seeing it back in Chicago again!! That’s cars been at each corner of the USA so far! LOL

Would love to do Carlisle again! Don’t think it’ll be this next year, as we’re I’m looking to do the big train show in York with a few buddies, but maybe 2024??

Would love to meet up with everyone again!! Feel like a poser though with the modern day crowd though!! LOL

My move has kept me fairly busy and I finally sat down to watch a few of my recorded shows today. What do I find but this episode. I can see why @monaco75 had mixed feelings.
