I sold my beautiful, original, low mileage 38k to another collector in southern NY. Look for it at the local car shows in Dutchess county. I'll miss it, but it went to the right guy who has another "C" body as well. It was fun owning a "C"body, but just was too big for my storage garage. I'm sure he will enjoy it, perhaps the nicest original one could ever see.
Happy motoring,
Gerry

How much?

You can ask the new owner when you see the car at the car shows, it's really no ones business what he paid for it, but if he wants to tell you that's fine. He bought a beautiful car, and he's very happy. I wish him happy motoring, and I'm certain it will be a good investment for him as well. You can't find them in that condition, period, it should appreciate in value as most of the nice "c" bodies are appreciating.

I don't know what you mean by "kill the flip", but I think I would never ask you (or anyone) what he/she paid for his/her car.
I enjoyed this forum. I very much enjoyed showing my "C" bodied car at six (6) car shows this summer. It was a hit and I was invited to show it at the 2014 Hemmings Concours d"Elegance. If my storage garage was larger I would have kept the car and not sold it, as I really enjoyed it. The massive size was wonderful in many ways, and it rode like being on a cloud. It's the storage space it took up in my storage garage built to hold six Miatas (which I sell exclusively) that killed it for me. Although I am a dealer for (50 yesrs last June), I've always had collector cars in my old garage (no longer have that garage). I'll miss this forum and the swell guys that love "C" bodied Chryslers as I do. Perhaps one day I may own another, who knows. Never say never...
Stay well, all of you!
Gerry

Sounds like he paid 3,500 for it.

Sounds to me like you're not very knowledgeable on "prestine" "C" bodied cars. The new owner has more than one of these, and knew a bargain when he saw it. Enough already, it's none of your business (or anyone elses) what I sold it for, stop guessing you're not even close. They sell "junk" for that price...ckeck your current Haggerty Price Guide and you'll see what it's worth in #1 condition.

Wonder if the new owner is going to pull the motor to paint it the right color.cause the last dealer painted the engine the wrong color on his flip. I notice that the engine pics are absent for this thread.

With all due respect I have been around c bodies longer than you. Mr Miata!! It seems odd to me that you join an all Mopar page with a Mazda user name. Please stick to what you know best. Anybody in there right mind knows this isn't a number 1 car or number 2 or even a number 3. Its at best a number 4 car that was given a lipstick job to touch up and failed at flipping!!
At the end of the day its a number (4) 4 door Chrysler Newport sedan. Even haggerty wouldn't insure it for more than 6,000.

It must have sold for those crazy new-york prices. 4,000. Yeah..............

No such thing as a true #1 car, UNLESS all it does is roll on and off an enclosed trailer, is absolutely minty-perfect AND numbers-matching, and is stored in a climate-controlled structure. The vast majority of cars you see at shows other than, say, a concours d'elegance, are low number two, to high number four cars.

I don't want to beat on this ******* anymore. The consummate salesman. Sees the whole world as his sucker if he denies it until he's 30 seconds away from his last breath. He has never been wrong in a car's value.

I don't know about the others.
I just don't like an amateur trying to sell me a crock of bullshit.

If I like the car, fine.
But you don't come into a specialized forum dancing around in front of the used car lot in a clown suit holding ballons and waving customers in...
Just making a fool of yourself and you're willing to humilate yourself to make a sale. Any sale.

That would be like me going into a professional welders forum telling them I have the world's greatest $79 Harbor Freight stick welder for sale for $500. At the end of the day of humiliating behaviour, it gets sold for $79 dollars on ebay and think to yourself you're a success.
