Hello all,
I just purchased a 1965 NewYorker. She runs and drives well and in pretty good shape. Almost everything works but could use some advice in the near future to get a few things right with her. I can't figure out how to post the pics with my IPad yet but hopefully soon I can.

Welcome to the site from the Motor City!

Welcome aboard. Nice score on a first year Cbody. Ditto above about posting pics. Do you know anything about the history of the car? What are your plans? :sSig_welcometoourcl

:sSig_hihihi: from Jersey............................you wont last long here without photos........

Finally resized to fit the pictures. This is her before i picked her up. I want to keep mostly stock maybe a little more aggresive rims and tires(wife wants them). Having trouble finding a web site that sells the weather stripping/felts etc. for the windows and wing window. Also a place that can rebuild the window motors as they are pretty worn out. ANY suggestions would be helpful. Thanks for the warm reception to the site.

She came from a junk yard, lol! The owner did some horse trading and tried to resell it for months. I drove by every day to work and stopped a couple times to check it out. He finally needed the money more than the car and let me have her for $5,500 which was about as high as i was going to go. Found the manual in the glovebox and shes from San Jose California(pic of interior shows manual on the floor). He didn't even know it was there. Now i need to track down the owner and get his signature for the title transfer to make it complete.

You found THIS in a junkyard?!? My opinion, but I think you did OK for yourself there. I like the exhaust tips.....different. Does she still have original motor?

That is nice, makes you wonder what else is in that yard...

He has 21 older cars and trucks ranging from 50's-70's. A couple I would like but no room. My car has the original 413 and runs pretty good. carb needs rebuilt and exhaust gaskets replaced also A/C recharged(already converted and was cold when I first looked at it). Went for fist ride with family today(no plates) on a back road. It was awesome but hot with no A/C and window motors not working, lol!

Great looking ride. Always liked the Buck Rogers instrument cluster on those cars. There has got to be a story about how such a nice car got so close to the crusher?????

I just can't get over the fact this car was found in a junk yard of all places...they most likely would have crushed it had it not be found and what a REAL shame that would have been. I'm glad you saved it.:app:

Wish there were cars like that in the junk yards around here, they seem to only have cars dating back to the mid 80's...and I have yet to find any Frank Sinatra edition Imps out there either.

When was the last time you were at a junk yard? When they come in they are either sold right away or the piranha rip the parts off so fast its a carcass in a week
