I wasn't sure where to post this, I figured this section might be the most relevant to my question. Can anyone who has car dollies recommend or warn me against any particular brand? Considering buying a set of 4 but don't want to end up with junk that has crappy wheels or does not hold up enough weight without bending, etc. Looking to support abt 5000 pounds total.

As long as you're not using them to push your car around a gravel driveway and it's on a smothe slab I haven't heard any pros or cons to any brands,

I bought Jegs house brand & they're great. You can really shove the car right up against the wall.

I bought the Larin car Dollies.......~ $40 bucks a pair at Fleet Farm on sale. Work well for me.

That's exactly what i need to do..........problem is, not sure if I will have enough space in that corner even if I do that.

I need to start chasing smaller cars, these 18 footers are killing me.

Tallhair has posted ones very similar to the ones i have. They roll a polara around easily

Do you need to do this just once or are you moving it around a lot? I always just used my trusty floor jack to move cars sideways. It takes a little finesse, but it works for me.

I had no problems with just putting them on the dolly. No wobbles, they did want to rotate a little.

Alan

That is exactly what I'm looking to do. The rear end is out of my car, and I have ZERO space to the back.

Would be nice to be able to roll the car forward to the ledge of the garage, and access all around the car.

Thanks guys!

Just put the jack stands in front of the front leaf spring perch. That's what I've done a hundred times.

In case anyone is considering buying from Accessible Systems you might want to rethink...frigging morons forgot the bolt bags so now I will have the car delivered and have to wait until they get here which will cause me all kinds of headaches plus I will have to move the car myself even though I'll have an extra body on the day it is delivered. Unbelievable.

Bet it was made in China. They ALWAYS forget the nuts n bolts...
A conspiracy to torture us into surrendering.
