I may have found a parts car.
I just came across a 1962 dodge 880 4dr sedan and I wanted to know if the hood, fenders, trunk lid, front windshield would fit my
62 2dr coupe. If so I can take the 4dr apart and rebuild my front end off the car. Also end up with lots of small parts for dash as well.
input please.

do you by any chance have a interchange manual to know if the body parts will work?
The drive train is gone so no benefit there. Thanks commando1.

No. You will need a Hollanders that covers at least 61 - 64 to be of real use to you.
Finding the exact range becomes priceless even though pricey on ebay.

I have one I just can't get to that side of the garage till I get my prostetics (not sure it is spelled right) for my foot.

All '62 880s interchange basically everything from the dashboard forward. The whole front doghouse swaps between 2- and 4-door sedan, hardtops and wagons. All of the rear exterior trunk trim, lights, valence and bumpers will swap. SOME interior trim, such as visors, the lower windshield trim, armrests, inside and outside door handles, window cranks, door hinges, and other small parts are the same.

None of the glass is the same, other than the vent windows. I do not remember if the decklid will swap, but I do not believe they do. You'll need a Hollander's book to verify. Most good boneyards have one that they can look that up for you.

Remove as many fasteners and trim screws from the four-door as you can, so you have correct spares in your box.

Thanks Patrick66 Even if the truck does not fit I can graph the tail section to mine. My car sat under a covered awning that was 2 feet shy of the car so that is why the lip is rusted.

found my Hollanders/got my answers/

my book is 37th edition and covers 1960 to 1971
let the questions begin??????

pretty close
hindges are a no.
glass is a no but everything else looks like it would fit.
if I can get my hands on it I want to pull the complete front suspension out in 1 piece (Has no Motor) rebuild it an swap mine out. let the motor in the car move to the parts car with another trans I have. keep everything that fits. swap out any body parts that are best then sell whats left. big plans for empty wallets.

I can't believe I found another one today. It is wrecked in the rear qtr which I don't need.
It has a running 361 not as nice as the 1st one I found but 1/2 the price. working on a trade///. Anyone know a cheap transporter to get it Texas

Thanks,
I hope I can make this happen. The guy is really nice so I think I have a good chance at it.
