Well, I bought another Formal. A 1978 Newport. Kind of an odd duck. Has optional 400 with TQ. No tilt or telescope. No clock. Upgraded best interior. No power windows or locks. AM/FM radio, no power antenna. Optional vent windows, rear window defogger and 100 amp alternator. It has manual A/C and cruise control. 56,000 miles. Lean Burn still works (barely). Minimal rust. Body wise it is in 1000 percent better condition than my NYB. Mechanically it needs a few things, power booster, 727, exhaust. KY4 Golden Fawn which is a yellow with green stripes, vinyl, carpet, and interior. No passenger mirror, no cornering lights, no skirts but I have skirts that I can paint (need the rear skirt mounting hardware).
An old lady who died last year bought new in 1978. The guy that I bought it from bought from her estate sale a couple of weeks ago. It's only been driven twice in the last 20 years. The tank has been dropped, flushed, and new hoses installed. I'm dragging *** today so I didn't conduct a thorough inspection.
Hopefully I'll have it ready to bring to Carlisle.
