Hey Guys... Just wanted to make a quick introduction thread. This is my 1967 Dodge Polara 500 Convertible that I just picked up for what I think is a steal of a price of $3,500. I've been looking for a unique and affordable classic car for a year that wasn't a rust bucket. I have previously owned a 1972 two door Chrysler New Yorker so I'm not new to C Bodies. The last owner was 90 years old and had this up to show car status last in 2007 but lost interest after half finishing a new paint job (she was bright red and is in yellow primer right now). I found dozens of badges from shows that this car went to in the glove box. My friends don't appreciate my style and have named her "The Banana Boat". Let me know what you guys think...

Welcome to the site from the Motor City! What's not to like???

If the car is in as good a shape mechanically as that interior then you did in fact get yourself a nice deal. Once you decide on a color it will be awesome. Welcome.

Welcome....looks like you've got a nice car to start off with, and a convertible to boot, which makes it that much more desireable in my book! Good luck with your newfound project!
