I know it's not a C-body but it's still very nice and it's almost finished! Me and a couple buddies picked this car up in January of this year from a friend who was about half way through its resto when he switched gears into another project and this one had to go. He gave us a deal we didn't think we could refuse and this is where we stand with it as of today.
It is a real R/T car that we have been restoring per the build sheets with a couple of minor exceptions being the use of 15 X 7 Rallyes instead of painted steelies w/poverty caps and not using wheel opening moldings. It IS an N96, painted bumpers, bucket seats, column auto and Citron Yella in color. Next step once detailed will probably be Ebay. I'll let you know.:eek:s_dancing2:

That's just beautiful! It would be hard for me to sell it it was mine.

:yourock:

Thanks guys!
I am just now rereading my description and I think I made it sound like I listed the exceptions to the build sheet, when I didn't. So to clarify, the only deviations made from the build sheet are the use of the Rallye wheels instead of painted steelies w/poverty caps and it was born with wheel opening moldings which I think we'll leave up to the new owner to add.

Here are a few underhood pics. Still working out some minor issues and details befor it's for sale but it's getting there!

Matt, that R/T is just beautiful!!!!!

:eusa_clap::eusa_clap::eusa_clap::eusa_clap::eusa_clap:

Please post the EBay ad when you sell it so we can root for you!!!!!!

Either you live in a pretty secure neighborhood in Detroit or have a hell of a shop security system and perimeter to keep that baby safe.

that is very nice Matt........and not that 6 foot trunk in the back, so it'll fit in the garage a bit easier

When you put it on ebay, the numbers Nazis will kill you in the WIW section on Moparts.

"Incorrect yellow zinc dichromate finish on the battery hold down nut!!!!!" :mob:

Meanwhile, the ones picking it apart don't know how to adjust a carburetor....

Matt, since the R/T is just about done, what is the next project?

My `68 Road Runner "JUNKYARD DOG" should be painted this fall and I will spend the winter putting it together along with really tearing into my `70 Challenger. I would like to get all of the serious metal work done on that car as I might sell it to help fund buying my dad out of his `71 Challenger vert. There's also getting the new shop in order and running so I can pay for all this fun!

Safe neighborhood and a premium alarm system. Also helps that I'm not in the city of Detroit proper, I'm in the burbs.

Great!!!! I'm sure you can sleep at night. That would kill me to restore those beauties and sell them. I understand, we don't have Donald Trump money and have to let them go to move on to the next build. Still a great endeavor!!!! How about a sneak peak of the Junkyard Dog and the A66 Challenger when you get a chance. Thanks Matt!

Man, what a sweet car.

When I was 14 I *almost* had my dad talked into buying a new Charger SE coupe. He didn't like it though and ended up getting the '71 Monaco, which is why I'm here.

I sure could see myself in something like this, though.

I bet your Dad really enjoyed the Monaco.
