Hi guys

I want to remove my fury dash pad because theres something making noise just behind the dash and I want to check the dash voltage regulator because my fuel gauge is dead. Just down the dash are some screws but I don't know if I can remove the dash pad with them

Am I missing something? Can't you just get on your back with a flashlight and figure out what it going on? Why do you need to remove the pad?

I take the front seat out when working under the dash. Makes things a whole lot more comfortable. Just a few minutes work with a helper.

All valid points............. Year make and model would be a great start

But why wouldnt you lay on your back?

Sorry is a 1974 plymouth fury. :D

About to look under the dash, I already did it but I can't see what is making the noise. The noise is near of the windshield heating vents and sounds like a piece of metal is hitting with other piece of metal

1) Take a flat screw driver, gently pry up on metal speaker/ defrost vent plate. Pull it towards you to disengage remainder of clips.
2) Remove all 5/16 head screws that were hidden by the metal plate.
3) Remove 5/16 head screws on drivers side of pad that you can see when opening driver door.
4) Remove 4 5/16 head screws underneath pad, close to map light/ passenger mirror controls.
5) Gently pull pad toward you to remove.

You will never have an easier dash pad to remove than a Formal Mopar...child's play.

You've done this before. I can tell....

Beats a '68 any day - these days the first thing I do is pull the windshield on such machines. Entire dash, along with pad, is out in a snap after that.
