New wagon in the family

Don't loose the white letter tires....Makes the car look so much more sporty. ;)

As for the color...why would they paint the rims silver/grey if the car was F3 Green? I think the "green" tint in the first pic is some shading or paint fade of the original grey/silver colour.

The painted wheels were actually optional ...... $1.00 per wheel. As for the tires. When getting into a Fury station wagon, "sporty" isn't what I was going for. The RWL have to go. 1st choice is a set of whitewalls. If the tires are over 70% good they'll get reversed to black side until I wear them out.

I'm pulling for the silver ........

Will, is the wagon F3 Frost Green Metallic?

Very cool if it is...

A picture of the fender tag would be even cooler.

I called to finalize the deal and shipping on the wagon today. I asked a few questions and requested a few more pic's. The seller asked if i'd like a picture of the buildsheet....... WELL DUH .......! He hadn't mentioned that before. He sent a couple cell phone shots of it and all the glove box paperwork.
I was able to see the car was a specal order, built on Nov 18, 68 and delivered in early Dec 68. The color is A4-silver metallic with black interior, P/S, P/B, A/C, all tint glass. Came with 8:55x15 BSW's mounted on 15x 7 HD steel wheels and deluxe wheel covers. I think it had/has a right side chrome mirror also. Thats about it.

He included a shot of a warranty sticker in the driver side A pillar that i'm not familure with. Dated when new, and again in 71.....?

Should be here the 1st or 2nd week of Dec.

even a dealer code so you'll know where it was delivered new......

A 4 Silver........ excellent car Will. Good for you, they say you cant have them all and that is why fate took the 62 away....because you're close. I am certain you are on the top of the prestigeous "You Suck" list

I knew it was silver! Pretty awesome score Will, congrats again.

Sometimes it looked green and sometimes it looked silver in just professional pictures in the ad.

Seems to be some Extended warranty sticker I guess or some in between inspection to Keep the 5 year warranty for Chrysler vehicles ?

Car looks great, congrats. Looks like a junior enlisted member owned it at one time

After trying to deal with shipping brokers for a week, and hearing every sob story and reason why I should pay way to much for shipping, I have decided to go get the wagon myself.
I talked with the seller who told me the car has new tires, brakes, exhaust, and although he has never driven the car a long distance he felt confident the car was road worthy.
So........ I'm off on a new adventure. I've booked a flight to Providence RI Saturday where the seller will pick me up. It's an 1100 mile trip back home so I'll break it up to 2-3 easy days travel. I'm a AAA gold member, so no worries about being stuck on the road.
Now I'm looking forward to the trip, (except for the flying part). What better way to get familure with a new (old) car then a road trip.

The wagon has a name already....... based on size, color and the fact that the seller is in the Navy, I decided on "the Admiral".

Will you have a travel companion? Sounds like you will have another great road trip adventure and am jealous of you once again.
