One of my winter projects

You think those pics Paul posted are in MI???

Thanks guys! It's been the happiest 2 years of my adult life and she can say the same thing so it was the only logical thing to do.

No..... what's that yard that advertised in the MCG?
I don't recall, I'll have to look through an issue for a reminder. It's been a while since I've had time to actually read one of those. If I hadn't taken advantage of their 5 year renewal deal a few years ago I'd probably have let it lapse a year ago.

Back on topic, I pulled the heads today and was releved to find standard bore. I don't think the short block had ever been apart, very good news! It definitely needs a rebuild though as there's a pretty substantial ridge.

Congrats Matt!

I talked to her a bit at Carlisle and she's a very nice lady. Good for you!

Way to go Matt. Congrats! Is she a car girl?
No she's not Fred however she is into seeing me happy and knows the cars are an important part of that. She was the best riding shotgun to Carlisle in the Imperial and she thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it but I don't think she'll ever really be a car girl.

Wait. Was this post made so you can segue into announcing your engagement? Lol

It didn't start out that way but I had been wanting to mention it and thought it was as good a place as any.

"BTW..." he says. Oh!!! Lol
A whopping huge congrats to you and the future bride!!

Great news.

So since you've pulled and are rebuilding the engine and trans .. any plans or thoughts towards improving on performance such as cam, head swap or head work, or stroking it?

Trans .. improving durability and firmness of shifts?

Fronts susp rebuild while engine is out? Firm Feel steering sector?

And I don't recall if the R/T is original paint or not but are you going to repaint the engine compartment while you have the engine and trans out?

I started to do a simple clean up of my Coronet R/T engine and carb etc to get it road worthy year before last and wound up pulling the engine and trans and now am doing a full mechanical rebuild of all systems front to back i.e. fuel, cooling, converting from 2 to 3 speed wiper motor (for 6 BBL), front and rear susp, brakes (converting front drums to 11.75 disc), rear end, engine and trans rebuild, but probably not going to paint the engine bay (no skillz) so it can be a slippery slope ... I know :)

Nothing to add, but engaged to marriage now as well, let's see if we can make a double date, she could be her sister in the first place. :laughing4:

Congratulations on your engagement Matt. Glad you found good news when you pulled the heads too.
